Western
Shows
The Western team is elated and proud to have had such a successful first
semester, and we look forward to an even better upcoming season!
Everyone has made tremendous personal improvements, and we are
excited to see what Western Regionals has in store for us! Our current
standing is 4th in Zone 7, Region 1!
On October 25th we had a horse show at Saint Marys of the Woods. We
won reserve high point team that day!
There was also a show on November 1st at Indiana University.
Congratulations to Molly McGhee for becoming a regional qualifier in the
advanced division!

English
Shows
On November 15th and 16th the English Show team went to Saint Mary's Of The
Woods for a show! We were high point team both days and also had a high point
rider, Kelsey Concklin!
The next weekend, November 22nd and 23rd, we went to Black Dog Farms. The
team was high point team on Saturday! Additional congratulations to Emily Blok
for being high point rider on Saturday!
Another show at Saint Mary's Of The Woods was December 6th and 7th. We were
high point team on both Saturday and Sunday! We also went doubles for High
Point Rider with Kelsey Concklin and Rachel Burke!
The Illini are the number one team in the region with 202 points. Thank you to all
of the parents and friends who have been so supportive this semester!

Winter Events

Pony Club Demo

The club had the opportunity to
go to Commonwealth for a
Pony Club demonstration this
semester. They even had the
chance to ride and try some of
the games. Thank you to
Catherine Foreman for teaching us!

Social Events
This semester the Equestrian club had many fun social events. Some of
these events included a Bar Crawl and movie night where we watched
Secretariat. Our social chairs Jenny Williams and Elle Wilson did a great job
of creating really fun events for everyone in the club to get to know each
other and relax from the stress of classes!

Fundraising
Our Fundraising Chairs Hailey
Anderson and Kelsey Concklin did an
amazing job this semester! We had our
first ever late night grilled cheese
fundraiser. Our officers took turns
making and selling grilled cheese on
Green Street one night earlier this
semester. It was a huge success and we
sold tons of grilled cheese sandwiches!

Another fundraiser we had was

selling Krispy Kreme donuts on
the quad. Once again, officers all
took turns selling the donuts and
hot chocolate. This fundraiser
was also very successful for us.
Look out next semester for our
fundraiser at Joes on Tuesday,
January 20th!

Equestrians. We are so grateful for the support you continue to

As all of you know, equine activities are not cheap! As a club we
work hard to fundraise and make it as affordable as possible for
everyone to be able to participate. Without funding we would not
