Description of Event
The 9th International Conference on Advanced Computational Engineering
and Experimenting, ACE-X 2015, which will be held in Munich-Germany, from the
29th of June to the 2nd of July, 2015.This event will be held in The NH Mnchen
Neue Messe hotel.
The ACEX conferences are aimed at attracting a balanced portion of
delegates from academia, industry and research institutions and laboratories
involved with research and development work. In doing so, the conference
provides a binding platform for academics and industrialists to network together,
exchange ideas provide new information and give new insights into overcoming
the current challenges which are faced by academics and the industrialists
related to computational engineering and related experimenting.
The event will provide ample opportunity for conference delegates to
network and improve their knowledge in an attractive, cultural and friendly
environment: Munich, Germany
The scientific program includes various researches ACEX of students and
researchers around the world are presented in the form of oral or poster, all in
front of an international audience and professionals. During the congress, ACEX
also has a social program, filled with dinners and family events. The committee
provides an opportunity for all participants to get to know and exchange opinions
between the committee and the ACEX. Many world leaders who became speaker
in ACEX, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil. Alexander Lion who initiated the "NEW TRENDS IN
POLYMER MECHANICS AND Aspects" and Prof. Dr mont. Habil. Dr h. c. Ewald
Werner who initiated the 'microstructure-BASED MODELLING OF COMPLEX
STRUCTURES AND MATERIALS multiphase also taking the time to attend this
event.
Over the past few years ACEX showed impressive growth. In 7 years of
activity, ACEX has grown into one of the world's leading congress in the field of
Engineering. In the event ACEX 6th 2014 we welcomed 500 participants from 50
countries and has chosen presenters 230 of 500 abstracts submitted from 70
different countries.

B. Selection Process

Fauziyah

For comparison, last year ACEX 2014 has received 500 abstracts from 50
countries. All applications have been through a thorough selection process; they
should send an abstract of their research. Abstract selection procedure, which is
performed by the committee ACEX with the help of experienced professors and
researchers. One of the selected abstract, and will be presented with a poster
presentation is derived from our delegation, Ramanda Lubis with a study entitled
"Ejector Design For Optimizing DAE (Dry Water Equivalent) In Geothermal Power
Plant". While there are two other delegates who submit abstracts and invited to
participate in the International Student Congress of Medical Sciences.

Benefits of Participation

"Imagination", "Imagination" "Imagination"! Great creation!

We were never able to create great temples such as Borobudur and
Prambanan, made of stone which until now has not been destroyed ", Ir.
Sukarno
D.1 Benefits for Delegates
Indonesia has a total of 252 potential geothermal locations spread
following the path of volcanic formation that stretches from Sumatra, Java, Nusa
Tenggara, and Sulawesi until Maluku. With a total potential of about 27 GWe,
Indonesia has the largest geothermal energy potential in the world. As a
renewable and environmentally friendly energy, geothermal energy potential of
this great contribution needs to be improved to meet the needs of domestic
energy that will reduce Indonesia's dependence on fossil energy sources are
dwindling. As students we believe that one day we had to replace researchers
now to be able to maximize the performance of the production of electricity
generated by the geothermal potential of this power plant engineering design in
our study, to bring back the happiness of the people of Indonesia has a great
potential in the future through the next generation, especially from the younger
generation.
One of the important efforts that must be done is to improve the ability of
students. This is the main reason why, as a student, the delegates should
participate ACEX 2014. Following the congress, delegates will gain a lot of

Fauziyah

knowledge and updates in the world of engineering science and engineering

research from around the world. Delegates can also promote the wealth of
Indonesia and also the ability of Indonesian youth.
And part of that is very important are those delegates can apply the
experience and lessons from Congress to field research in Indonesia.

D.2 Benefits for Companies

Companies as the most important part of the nation, indirectly we can act
as an agent disseminator of information and promotion of product quality and
social activities company / agency. The company also may have the opportunity
to popularize well as market the product through marketing strategies with the
installation of the logo / brand tagline also throughout the session event. In the
long run, we can improve the relationship with various parties, such as
academicians, practitioners and the public at large so that the great potential to
increase the quantity of consumers. This would also be very useful for the
achievement of corporate goals of quality products.
E. Objectives
1. To develop expertise in research, writing, and public speaking
2. To participate in international presentation and discussion on relevant
topics of current affairs in the global community
3. To represent Universitas Gadjah Mada and Indonesia in international
level scientific meeting
4. To build an international network of students from all over the world,
adding inspiration and a starting point for international cooperation
among engineering students become future at a later date.
5. Learn and gain knowledge for the scientific program that is filled with
high-quality student presentations, researchers and workshops.

Closing Remark
Indonesia has the potential to grow in the future through the younger

generation. Indonesia will become one of the leading countries if all resources
are managed optimally. ACEX2015 is an opportunity for students to show their
work and thoughts, and build an international network that will encourage the
exchange of ideas in the field of engineering. ACEX will be one stepping stone for
Indonesian youth to learn and create new ideas to make Indonesia an
independent energy future.

Abstract
Non Condensable Gas, kind of gasses which are not successfully condensed into water in the
condenser, are CO2, H2S, NH3, N2, and CH4. The existence of Non Condensable Gas at condenser is
aimed to reduce the level of vacuum which causes the condenser pressure increased and out of
control. When condenser pressure exceeds below the original specification, there will be a decline of
turbine performance. Non Condensable Gases in the condenser also lower the enthalpy value of
steam, so that the turbine performance will be declined. Dry Air Equivalent (DAE) is an equation that
states how quickly the ejector in attracting Non Condensable Gases in the condenser. The research
method in this paper is modeling using Computation Fluid Dynamics and Fluent. The modeling steps
are, Pre-Processing, Solving, and Post processing. Pre processing are, creating research object that can
be simulated to fluent software, making meshing images of objects, determining of the boundary
conditions of each field line test object, and storing in a digital data format meshing(* .msh). The
next stage is solving, this steps are to access the image of the object of research, to input flow models,
to input value boundary conditions, and to iterative calculation of the selected flow model equations.
The final stage, Post-Processing, is to interptet simulation results in form of grades , contours,
graphics, and animation. Based on the ejector designs, which are created and simulated using software
Gambit and Fluent, it is obtained that ejector suction pressure is 0.1142578125 Bar. Ejector suction
pressure value is then inserted into the equation Dry Air Equivalent to calculate its value DAE . DAE
value obtained is 14576.45lb/hr. This value is still meet the range of DAE which is still allowed in an
ejector, based on the manual book NASH gas removal system.
