MILESTONE

Marketing offices in Indonesia since 1898.
Exploration activities since 1912 (Standard Oil Company of New Jersey).
Esso and Mobil established a joint venture company in 1933 (PT Stanvac).
PT. Stanvac was sold to PT. Medco Energi in 1995.
Production Sharing Contractor for Pertamina since 1968 (Mobil Oil
Indonesia Inc. re-named: ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia Inc. in 2000).
Since 1978, over 4,000 LNG cargoes have been delivered to buyers in
Japan and Korea.
Cepu Operatorship under TAC 2000-2005, under Production Sharing
Contract since 2005 (Mobil Cepu Ltd.).
Natuna D-Alpha Operatorship under Production Sharing Contract since
1980 (Esso Natuna Ltd.).
During the period of 2006 2009, Government of Indonesia awarded four
new exploration blocks to ExxonMobil: Surumana and Mandar Blocks, both
located in the deep waters of Makassar Strait; Gunting Block in onshore
East Java; and Cendrawasih Block located in deepwater offshore Papua.
These blocks are valuable additions to ExxonMobils extensive portfolio in
Indonesia.
Currently in the prospect evaluation stage for three coalbed methane
(CBM) blocks.

UPSTREAM ACTIVITIES
Aceh Production Operations
Interest of 100 percent and operator.
Three onshore gas fields under two PSCs: Arun, South
Lhoksukon (SLS) A and D, and one offshore gas field, North
Sumatra Offshore (NSO) A.
Gas produced from these fields is supplied to the PT. Arun
NGL facility, where the gas is processed into liquefied natural
gas, or LNG. To date, Arun has supplied over 4,000
cargoes to Pertamina for sale to customers in Korea and
Japan, and plan to supply 36 cargoes for 2010.

Cepu Activities
Interest of 45 percent and operator, partnering with PT
Pertamina EP Cepu (45 percent) and four local government
companies holding a combined 10 percent participating
interest.
Estimated resources to be more than 600 million barrels of
recoverable liquids, plus significant gas resources.
Developed Banyu Urip Early Production Facilities (EPF).
Banyu Urip field early production started-up in August 2009.
Pertamina and Tri Wahana Universal (TWU) are initial buyers
for oil from the Banyu Urip field.
Banyu Urip full field development is progressing with main
facility bid package being issued recently.
Exploration activities are underway to search for more
resources in the block; exploratory drilling activities are
scheduled in the first quarter of 2010.

EXPLORATION ACTIVITIES
Natuna D-Alpha Block
Interest of 76 percent, operator and partnering with Pertamina
(24 percent).
Located in the South China Sea.
Awarded in 1980.
Natuna Block is estimated to contain approximately 222
trillion cubic feet wet gas with about 46 trillion cubic feet of
recoverable hydrocarbon gas resource.
Currently, ExxonMobil is engaged in talks with the Indonesian
Government on terms and conditions for development of
Natuna D-Alpha area.
Surumana Block
Interest of 80 percent, operator and partnering with Petronas
Carigali (20 percent).
Located in the North Makassar Basin offshore in water
depths up to 2,200 meters.
Awarded in September 2006.
Work program includes a 2D-seismic survey and three
exploration wells.
First operator to successfully complete acquisition of 2Dseismic data covering 3,300 line kilometers.
Mandar Block
Interest of 80 percent, operator and partnering with Petronas
Carigali (20 percent).
Located offshore in the South Makassar basin in water
depths ranging from a few meters near the coastline to more
than 2,000 meters (6,000 feet).

Awarded in March 2007.


Work program includes a 1,752 km2 3D-seismic survey and
three exploration wells.
Successfully completed acquisition of 3D-seismic data that
covered an area of 1,725 square kilometers, in February
2008.
Gunting Block
Interest of 100 percent and operator.
Located onshore in East Java.
Awarded in November 2008.
Work program includes a 400 km 2D-seismic survey during
the first three years.
Cendrawasih Block
Interest of 49 percent, operator and partnering with Niko
Resources (51 percent).
Located in offshore Papua.
Awarded to ExxonMobil in May 2009.
Work program includes a 1,200 km 3D-seismic survey and
one well during the first three year term.
Coalbed Methane Blocks
Interest of 49 percent in three CBM blocks (Banjar-1,
Banjar-2 and Tapin) and partnering with SUGICO (51
percent).
Located in East Kalimantan.

DOWNSTREAM ACTIVITIES
PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia (PT EMLI) markets
lubricants under Mobil brand through our distributor network
across the country.
Markets a wide range of high performance lubricant products
for passenger and commercial vehicles as well as industrial
applications.

Mobil 1 and Mobil SHC are two of the top end - flagship supreme performance synthetic lubricant products.
Provides technical services and marketing support to
Indonesian importers/customers.

SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT


ExxonMobil is committed to continuous efforts to improve safety
and environmental performance throughout its operations.
Until November 2009, no recordable injury incidents reported
for all business lines (Production, Exploration, Development
and Business Support).
In September 2009, received Green PROPER award from
the Ministry of Environment for ExxonMobils Environmental
Performance Rating Program demonstrating full innovation
and dedication toward the environment and sustainable
community development. The awards are focused on
businesses/activities that have undertaken environmental
management efforts that achieve results that exceed those
required under applicable regulations in Indonesia.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
In Indonesia, together with our NGO partners, ExxonMobil has
been actively engaged in various community development
programs focusing on health, education and economic
empowerment while fostering employee volunteerism,
environmental programs, humanitarian assistance and women
economic opportunity initiatives.
Community Activity Highlights
Funding microfinance program for women in neighboring
communities. Program has helped over 8,000 women since
2005.
Providing training and capacity building for more than 500
pre-elementary school teachers.

Establishing community learning centers.


Implementing communications technology based teaching
method in high schools.
Providing capacity building, infrastructure upgrade and
medical equipments for community health centers.
Distributing portable water for villages during the dry season.
Supporting the conservation of Leuser ecosystem in the
Gunung Leuser National Park in Northern Sumatra.
Providing training and capacity building for midwifery
academies.
Sponsoring Indonesian women activist to participate in a
one month global women initiative and leadership program in
Washington D.C.
Sponsoring various community, educational, cultural, and
sporting activities.
Volunteerism has been an integral part of the ExxonMobil
corporate culture and since 2008, ExxonMobil in Indonesia has
contributed more than 8,000 volunteer hours to the community.
ExxonMobil personnel in Indonesia are actively involved in
various voluntary activities.
Exxon Mobil Corporation pledged contributions for several
emergency relief and humanitarian assistance activities in
Indonesia, such as the 2005 tsunami relief and reconstruction
efforts, 2006 Yogyakarta reconstruction effort, 2008 East and
Central Java flood relief and humanitarian assistance for the
2009 West Sumatra earthquake.
