U19155 Demonstration Electron-Beam Deflection Tube

For investigating electron beams in electric and magnetic fields and determining specific charge
e/m through compensation of magnetic deflection by electrostatic deflection. Also for estimating
the speed of electrons.
The integrated plate capacitor allows electron beams to be deflected electrostatically and by
using a set of demonstration Helmholtz coils (U19105) magnetically. The path taken by the
electron beams is rendered visible on a fluorescent screen with a centimeter grid inclined by 15
with respect to the beam axis. Equipped with an integrated focusing electrode system.

Helium filled tube with a tangential and axial electron gun. The electron paths are
rendered visible in the form of fine luminescent beams through impact excitation
of the helium atoms.
For determining specific charge e/m from the diameter of the electron beam in
the case of tangential bombardment and a perpendicularly aligned magnetic field,
and observing spiral paths of electrons in the case of axial bombardment and a
co-axial magnetic field.

digital display for voltage and current readings, switchable for adjustable DC and Ac output.
The DC voltage output can be used as a constant voltage source with current limitation or as a
constant current source with voltage limitation. Sustainedshort-circuit-pool and external-voltages
resistant. AC voltage output is is equipped with electronic overload protection.
In the case of apparatus u201070 the DC and AC voltage can be operated simultaneously with
