Present simple
Affirmative Subject + Verb.

Present continuous

Utilizare
actiuni cu character general, actiuni care se petrec in
obisnuite, repetate, rutina.

* in cazul persoanei a III a singular, la prezentul simplu, la verb se adauga
terminatia -s sau -es.

Frequency Adverbs we use with the Present Simple


( Adverbe de frecventa utilizate cu prezentul simplu)
Notice that the adverb comes before the main verb in the sentence.
( De observat ca adverbul este pozitionat inainte de verb in propozitie)

Always ( intotdeauna) : I always read before I go to bed.


Often (des): Her sister often comes shopping with us.
Frequently ( frecvent) : Michael frequently visits his family.
Sometimes (uneori): You sometimes go to the gym, dont you?
Occasionally (ocazional) : It occasionally rains in summer.
Seldom ( uneori): They seldom ask for help.
Rarely ( rar): He rarely goes out without his backpack.
Hardly ever ( foarte rar): I hardly ever eat pizza.
Never ( niciodata): Japanese people never wear shoes inside.
Time Expressions we use with the Present Continuous
( expresii de timp pe care le folosim cu prezentul continuu)
Notice that the time expression can come at the start or at the end
of the sentence.
(De observat ca expresiile de timp pot fi pozitionate atat la inceputul
propozitiei cat si la sfarsit)
At the moment ( in acest moment): Im watching TV, at the
moment.
These days ( zilele astea): Pauls living in Cardiff, these days.
Now (acum): What are you doing, now?
Nowadays ( in zilele noastre): I think you are smoking too much,
nowadays.
