VISION:
In accordance with the mission and vision of the Doa Remedios
Trinidad Romualdez Medical Foundation, the RTRMF-College of Nursing
envisions to become a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education in
Region 8.
MISION:
The RTRMF College of Nursing aims to produce globally-competitive
nurses who are value-driven, committed, competent, compassionate, and
confident.
The college aims to provide well-rounded education for the students,
utilizing knowledge, skills, and attitudes acquired in the classroom and in
the practice of nursing as a commitment for the welfare of the
marginalized and vulnerable sector of society.
It specifically aims to produce professional nurses, with enduring faith
in the Divine Providence guided by the ethical and moral standards of the
profession, respecting the dignity and freedom of man for the purpose of
promotion of health, prevention of illness, restoration of health, the
alleviation of human sufferings, and when death is inevitable, assist to a
peaceful and dignified death.
PHILOSOPHY:
Man is a psycho-physiologic, socio-spiritual, cultural being who is
dependent upon God for creation, redemption and preservation for every
gift of soul and body.
Education is the deliberate and systematic influence exerted by the
mature person upon the immature through instruction, discipline, and the
harmonious development of all the powers of the human being, directed
towards the union of the educand and his creator in the final end.
OBJECTIVES:
The Doa Remedios Trinidad Romualdez Medical Foundation College of
Nursing aims to produce a professional nurse who:
1. Utilizes the nursing process as a foundation for professional practice
in areas of community health, medical-surgical, maternal and child
health, geriatric, and other allied nursing services.
2. Demonstrates knowledge, attitudes and skills for the promotion of
health, prevention of illness, restoration of health, and well being
and alleviation of sufferings.
3. Collaborates with other members of health disciplines in planning
preventive and promotive health programs and in providing health
services to individuals, families, population groups, and
communities.
4. Delivers comprehensive, quality and safe health care services with
professional competence.
5. Possesses research inclination and attitudes leading to utilization of
important research findings.

6. Assumes responsibilities as a citizen and professional for selfdirected activity towards the improvement of the community and
the profession.
7. Demonstrates commitment to a culture of excellence, discipline,
integrity and professionalism in all his/her professional endeavors.
