Roles & Errand

Familiar with the construction Drawing, General Arrangement Drawing, Piping and Instrument
Diagram and Isometric Drawing.
Carryout material receiving inspection in accordance with the inspection planning.
Ensure identification of material, preservation, heat numbers, chemical properties and
mechanical properties as per manufacturing the data sheet.
Inspect the activities of fabrication (fit-up & welding), installation of pipe spool in pipe rack,
pressure testing, valve testing, punch list, reinstatement and final mechanical completion.
Review drawing and specification, making field modification report whatever changes or
revision on the drawing.
Carryout visual inspection of welded joints, offering NDT and PWHT.
Witnessing & reviewing of non destructive tests such as radiographic test (RT), ultrasonic test
(UT), penetrate test (pt) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI).
Review of radiographic films, PWHT reports, PMI reports, hardness test reports and line history
sheet.
Witnessing Welder Qualification Test and conduct tool box meeting to improve welders skill.

 Ensure correction or completion of punch list items, Verify preparation of piping test package
including piping test record.
Witness final pressure tests including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial
range and is calibrated. Reviewing the applicable instruments for inspection with valid
calibration certificates.
Confirm repairs, re-testing and re-inspection in accordance with specifications.
Final reinstatement and verification inspection, Pipeline and P&ID walkthrough, final mechanical
completion and inspection.
Preparing Dossier reports for all above ground piping Including welding report, valve test report,
bolt torque report and pressure test report.
Co-ordinate with the managers to achieve the required product penetration and provide
cooperation

to internal mangers

Witnessing of Hardness, Bend Test, Tensile, impact tests, Macro structure after Etching, PMI,
UT, MT, PT and Hydrostatic test.
Studying the project material Speciation & preparation of required WPS with relevant to ASME
Sec IX, ASME Sec I, ASME Sec VIII Div.1, ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, BS EN 288 etc. and Client
requirements.
Establishing PQR for Carbon steel, Stainless Steel, Low temperature and high temperature
carbon steel to meet the project requirements and applicable codes
Arranging & Witnessing of Procedure Qualification Record Test (PQR) and prepare Welder
Qualification Tests as per specifications, codes and client requirements.
Witnessing Destructive testing like, tensile, bend, Impact, Hardness macro and fracture for
PQR/WPQT Qualifications.
Preparation and implementation of Repair Procedures, Work Instructions and Construction
Method Statements relevant to project scope.
Establish the required document system for controlling entire welding activities.
Performing visual inspection before, during and after welding.
Monitoring welding & related documentation activities to prevent the occurrence of Non
Conformance.
Final inspection of completed weld spools.
NDT co-ordination & Interpretation of RT films and MPI Report review.
An effective team player with ability to lead cross-functional project teams and integrate their

efforts to maximize operational efficiency. Proficient in striking perfect coordination with all
involved agencies ensuring bottleneck-free work execution.
Familiar with Procedures and International Codes and Standards, Acquainted with the
