SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
The side forms shall be made of steel and shall be rigid enough to take
the
Load and pressure exerted by concrete. When checked with a straight
edge they shall not deflect by 3 mm and shall not settle down.
The side forms shall be fixed rigidly in vertical position within tolerance
limits Of 5 mm in line and 3 mm in top level. The form shall be
secured in position using wedges, clamps etc. so that they will not
deviate from their alignment during concreting. Before erecting the
forms, good shuttering oil / grease should be applied properly for easy
de-shuttering after it is cast.
The forms shall be removed without injuring the concrete. The forms
shall be stripped when the concrete is sufficiently hardened and gained
strength as per the codal provisions.

Plan
When foundations are huge say mass raft foundations and of heights
greater
than 1.5m, then they are executed using L&T Wall Formwork System.
L&T Wall Formwork is a complete Formwork system, which mainly
consists of plywood sheathing backed by timber H-Beams and Steel
walers (ISMC 100 B/B channels). The support is given by double nut
alignment props which can be used to align the shutters to the required
angle. These shutters can be erected manually & also can be handled
by crane.
Besides giving smooth concrete finish this system comes with inbuilt
safety and working accessories.
It will produce a surface which will bond directly with the next pour or, in case
of retaining walls and columns, be suitable for rendering or tiling.

Salient features of the Formwork used for the Construction of LIFT CORE
WALLS:
Formwork details:
1. L&T Wall formwork with Travelling climbing system (CB 150F) used for Outer
face of core wall.
2. L&T Lift shaft platform system used with wall formwork for Inner face / opening.
3. Approx. max. size of wall panel (inner side) is 2.40m x 4.00m.
4. Outer shutter panels are supported on a pair of brackets the max. size being
2.40m x 4.00m.
5.
Each pair of shutter panel with brackets is having in-built safety such as
necessary handrails for concreting & shutter platforms.
6. Tower cranes are used for lifting of shutters from one pour to another.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
The lift shaft platform system is suitable for lift core / RC-walls close to each
other.
The Lift Shaft Formwork System comprises of shaft main beam resting in pockets
provided in the already cast RC-Wall. The cross beams are provided over this.
Wooden planks over the cross beams form the lift shaft platform. Leveling of the
platform is possible by operation of spindle within the gravity pawls.
The main beam has gravity pawls which unlocks itself from the pockets when lifted
upwards by tower crane and locks itself at the next pocket location. The gravity
pawls are hinged and have one way movement only, the platform thus has high
levels of safety.
The platforms as a whole along with the main beam, gravity pawls, cross beams
and platform can be lifted as one unit.
This platform facilitates resting of the wall formwork and alignment.

Safety
A high degree of safety is based in the L&T Automatic
Climber SKE and its hydraulic drive. The lifting mechanism is
always coupled with the climbing section and therefore safe.
The hydraulic cylinders for the drive of the L&T Automatic
Climber SKE are equipped with a pipe breakage safety device.
Economy with system
The standard parts of the proven L&T climbing formwork
provide, together with the Automatic Climber SKE, a simply
operated and therefore extremely economical self-climbing
formwork.
ADVANTAGES
1. Its modular system:
optimum adaptability to any project
small number of different parts
inclination adjustments of up to +/- 15o possible for
formwork and scaffold
uniform design of suspended platform and pouring
platform
platforms are pre-assembled, i.e rapid on-site erection
direct connection facility to L&T Automatic Climber SKE

7. Change the position of the lever in the lifting mechanism to bottom position for
platform lifting.
8. Unscrew the supporting carriage . ensure a gap of minimum 40 mm
9. Remove the safety bolt (Safety pin)
10. Lift the platform MF bracket for one stroke then remove the suspension pin &
continue the lifting upto next level until the climbing carriage touches the
climbing profile wedge.
11. Insert the suspension pin inside the suspension shoe slot & place the climbing
carriage in the suspension pin by releasing the cylinder.
Sequence of erection:
a)
b)
Vertical profile with pressure strut short & long to be assembled with the
horizontal profiles without pin on one side..
c)
At the time of erection lift the assembled one with crane put the strut pin &
fix it on the suspension shoe .
d)
e)
Assemble the vertical waling , plumbing spindle, running gear (preassembled) with shutter and lift and position it on the bracket.
1)
Remove suspension pin from suspension shoe before lifting the platform to
next level, immediately after the first stroke,
2)
Remove climbing profile wedge before lifting the climbing profile to next
level, immediately after the first stroke,
3)
While lifting the climbing profile to next level , insert the wedge in to the
climbing profile, before changing the direction of lifting mechanism, and see
to that it is fully4rested On the suspension shoe.
4)
5)
Unscrew the supporting carriage before lifting the platform to next level.
6)
Safety pin to be removed first before lifting the bracket assembly & should
be fixed in the last after the bracket is fixed into the next level on the
suspension pin.
