SUBJECT: Updates regarding 40th General Assembly of Student Councils (GASC)
As agreed upon during the 40th GASC held last 20 to 22 June 2015 at the University of the
Philippines Visayas Miagao campus, all student councils are to submit to the OFFICE OF THE
STUDENT REGENT the following:
(1)

A year-end report synthesizing the effects and challenges faced by our constituents
caused by the following policies: (a) Socialized Tuition System; (b) Academic
Calendar Shift; (c) Student Academic Information System or SAIS, if applicable.
Student councils have the discretion to choose any medium they see as effective
and efficient to conclude the year-end report, such as consultations, focus group
discussions, and the like. Guide questions from us will be published as soon as
practicable.

(2)

Proposed dates for the 2-day unit consultation including the May Pag-asa
Nationalism Forum and Voters Education Discussion. This is open to student
councils, organizations, and publications.

(3)

Likewise, the individual actions of concerned student councils with regards to the
GASC resolutions. Copies will be released alongside the guide questions mentioned
in para. (1).
