Yaateeh my Relatives, Friends and Allies:
With great concerns, I speak to you, the sacred geometry is aligned and the time is
now. I am calling upon Indian Country, all Indigenous Peoples from all over the
earth, World Leaders and Nations to stand with me, and the Navajo Nation in
support of the King, Alii Nui Moi Edmund Kelii Silva, Jr., of the Kingdom of Hawaii
and its people towards freedom with Full restoration and independence of their
Nation.
How the Kingdom of Hawaii was stolen, parallels my history. Ginger Hills,
Navajo wrote: "They came with the Bible in one hand and the gun in the other. First
they stole gold. Then they stole the land. Then they stole our souls." This proverb
echoes our similarities as, to how the missionaries came with the Bible in one hand
and the gun in the other, and stole the lands of their kingdom and desecrated sacred
grounds.

I have been following Ali`i Nui Moi King Edmund Kelii Silva, Jr. and the Kingdom of
Hawaiis legal strategies and documents they have put forth regarding their
ongoing work toward restoring and repairing the Kingdom of Hawaii.
I am appalled by the latest in the long list of violations our Hawaiian brothers and
sisters have encountered while protecting their sacred mountain, Mauna a Wkea,
this is absolutely unconscionable.
The Invader once again, violated his own laws this time the 1st Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly and the right to
petition and the 14th Amendment - equal protection of the law.
I see the bigger picture and the brilliant legal position Ali`i Nui Moi King Edmund
Kelii Silva, Jr. is taking to push the sovereignty issue. He is taking this opportunity
to get into the Invaders court to address the larger issue at hand. This is a logical
next step in restoration of the Kingdom of Hawaii. Brilliant!
I am reminded of some of the brilliant strategies my late husband, Russell Means
employed that had far reaching affects one may not have seen initially. During the
8-month American Indian Leadership trial in 1974 of he and Dennis Banks, during
their opening argument they fired their lawyers as lead counsel, unbeknownst to
their lawyers, led by the late William Kunstler (they were named as co-counsel).
Their ingenious strategy was a way to introduce the Treaties, which their legal
counsel couldnt do, but they could as non-lawyers representing themselves. Or
more recently in 2008, when Russell called the media to alert them he was going
fishing in the Lakota holy land, the Black Hills and just happened to mention he
would not be carrying the Oppressors state fishing license.
Of course he would be given a citation, but this would get him into court where he
could pursue the Lakotas 1868 Fort Laramies Treaty, the right to license, travel,
fish and hunt, what an unencumbered strategy.
Ali`i Nui Moi King Edmund Kelii Silva, Jr. of the Kingdom of Hawaii is taking the
opportunity to get into the Invaders court with the larger issue of Jurisdiction and
Hawaiian Sovereignty. These unconscionable acts by the Invader, the pawns, agents
of the United States Government are offering him the perfect opportunity to address
the real issue, Independence. As head of state, the King of the Kingdom of Hawaii
has the legal right and the responsibility to protect their sacred mountain, lands and
the Kingdoms citizens.
Effective leaders are innovative forward thinkers. I see where the King is going
with this. He is in a powerful position to seize the moment. His legal documents are
in order, hes prepared. I invite you all to look at the larger picture. From my
vantage point, in the Indigenous world, the Kingdom of Hawaii is in the strongest
position to take this next step. Its leadership is brilliant, wise, capable, courageous
and committed to moving their People forward.

Russell Means often said, A leader can only move as fast as the People are willing to
move. Well look out America, the Hawaiian People are ready to move! For more

Should the United States Government attempt to negotiate a Nation within a
Nation status with the Kingdom of Hawaii, take note of what has happened to the
First Nations Peoples of America.
Quasi-sovereignty is what the First Nations of America have. Self-rule under federal
supervision is not sovereignty. When you stand on your legal lawful rights, it is
irresponsible to compromise your rightful position.
The moment The Kingdom of Hawaii begins negotiating their rights they will have
immediately lost those rights. Politics is the art of compromise, where true
Leadership is based on principles.
That spark of light the American Indian Movement lit in the 1970s is dim and
almost gone. We now look to you, our Hawaiian relatives to unite and ignite that
light, and move this Independence Movement forward. Your position is legal and
lawful and your time is now. We stand with you in solidarity as you make your next
move it is a tremendous step forward for all of us in the indigenous world.
We no longer have time to be idle, when our homelands are being desecrated, our
water our lifeline continually poisoned and our children being stolen. As we witness
all things we hold sacred and holy continually under attack, Im reminded of
Russells words, Everyone should get angry at injustice. People who dont certainly
arent spiritual people.
I am a spiritual person. As a Dineh mother, grandmother, I am angered by injustice.
I have a responsibility to the next seven generations. I want my grandchildren to
live in a responsible peaceful world, one that respects all of life.
I invite all of you, indigenous and non-indigenous to join me get involved, speak out
against injustice, lets be the stewards our ancestors were and protect our
Grandmother the Earth and all of her children. Lets be the change we talk of. Lets
use our People Power and join Ali`i Nui Moi King Edmund Kelii Silva, Jr. and The
Kingdom of Hawaii as Warriors of Light and support them in restoring their
Sacred Nation as an independent SOVEREIGN NATION among all good and noble
nations around the world.
I leave you with a sacred prayer we Dineh People offer as a gift, inspiration to the
King, Alii Nui Moi Edmund Kelii Silva, Jr., and all my brothers and sisters of Hawaii
that are fighting with Kapu Aloha for their sacred mountain, Mauna a Wkea and
their independence.

OHKWA'HO AKA'RA
Dineh (Navajo) Wind Prayer
Oh, Great Spirit, Oh Grandfathers,
How lucky can one be to know such beauty?
One can search the world over
And not find this much loveliness.
Her heart is pure, and radiates love and warmth.
Oh, Mother Earth, It is from your womb that she does come.
It has to be, for she reflects your beauty that I see all around me.
Oh, Navajo Wind, blow softly upon this desert rose.
Embrace her always with your warm gentle breezes.

Fill her heart with the pride and happiness

from a proud and noble people that she does come.
Whisper soft reminders in her ear,
"Never forget... Never forget."
Oh, Father, the Navajo Sun,
Shine brightly down upon her path,
Allow her to see the beauty in herself as well as in others.
Protect her and keep her warm.
Hide her in your absence from the despairs of this life.
Allow her always to walk in beauty.
Oh, Woman who walks in beauty like the night,
I am a friend who is distant and silent.
I will care for you always.
