Logo

Description: Three Different Logos for the same business.

Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used the adobe illustrator. In this program I used mostly the shape
tool, making all my shapes. This project was pretty difficult It took many rough drafts to finally get what I
wanted. I knew I wanted to started off with. I am I big fan off watches and Pineapples seems to be very in
right now so combing them seem like a fun idea, until I started working on it. Using all these shapes making
nothing was to big or so small was a little difficult for me.

Message: Pineapple Watches Company.

Audience: anyone that is interested in watches.
Top Thing Learned: Simple is way better, I think I was trying too hard before I actually got to this logo.
Color Scheme and Color Names: Analogous/ Lime, Yellow, and Gold

Photodesign
Description: Take a picture and with that picture incorporate a color scheme,
using Photoshop.

Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles): I borrowed my friends

camera; I knew I wanted to have a bright color scheme. I asked my roommate
Sarah If I could use her for a project and had her put on a dark red shirt with a
bright color necklace. Once I took the picture, I uploaded it on to Photoshop. I
started with the levels, and then the vibrancy the main thing I really wanted to
focus on was her blue eyes and her bright teal necklace I really wanted those to
stand out, and another tool I used was the sharpening tool on her eyes to make
them stand out even more. I also used the burn tool on here eyes well on the
mascara part to make it more defined.

Message: My message is simply in my quote that I used. People will stare.

Make it worth their while.

Audience: Anyone that needs a little reminder to be confident and comfortable

with who they are.

Top Thing Learned: I learned a lot of things using Photoshop and especially
with editing the picture you didnt want to over do it so I had to be careful on
what edits I decided to go with.

Color scheme and color names: I used the triadic color scheme. With that
I used the colors Teal, orange, and red.

Web Page

Description: For this project I was working with html and CSS. Created a web page to showcase
our personal logo.

Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills): To create my web page I used Notepad++. I created my logo
using Adobe Illustrator. I created a HTML document and then linked a pre-made CSS document.
In CSS I was started off by changing the color of my background and the color of my background,
by going in Photoshop and using the eye drop tool to match the exact colors of my logo. In doing
this I copy and pasted the hex color number and placed it in my CSS document.

Message: To showcase my logo and that Pineapple Watches is fresh and unique.
Audience: The audience Im trying to appeal is to the younger generation.
Top Thing Learned: I learned that HTML and CSS is not something you can rush it takes time
to remember all the coding. I had a fun time knowing that I could manipulate a website to show the
exact way I wanted it to. I also found out if you forget just the littlest thing it wont turn out how you
want it to. So you just need to make sure you are paying attention to what you are doing.

Color scheme and color hex(s): Analogous; #6b7332/#b2b537

Brochure
Description: A brochure created using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills): first thing I did before I even touched the computer was make my
brochure how I wanted it to look and labeled it, so I know what was suppose to go on what and I knew
what my colors where going to be and where I wanted my text and pictures. This helped a lot to just start
off with a vision. I opened InDesign document and made my trifold brochure and going off of that I
opened up Illustartor and thats when I started creating my logo. My brochure is all about sunglasses so
why not make a sunglasses logo. I wanted my background to have some texture to give that cool vibe so I
had this bubbly texture. In photoshop is where I put all my pictures in to clean them up a little, and also
I placed a picture in and used the laso tool to cut it out and placed that in my document in Indesign.

Message: have fun this summer and kick it off by purchasing sunglasses that will help you get your
summer started off right.

Audience: I wanted to appeal to people that just want to have fun this summer while looking stylish.
Top Thing Learned: The main thing I learned the hard way was, just because it looks all good on the
computer, doesnt mean it will come out just like that, it takes many tries to get it right.

Business Card

Description: Create a business card with a matching letterhead

Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills): For this project I used I worked in Adobe Illustrator. I started
with my logo and I did a surfboard and I knew I wanted to do a surf shop so incorporated a surfboard
so to go along with that I add some waves, a palm tree and a sun to give it that beach theme. I used
a lot of the shape tools especially for my waves and just messing around with the anchor points to get
my waves a nice little flow. I also used a texture on my front of my business card to give it the feel of
a surfboard.

Message: My message is that Riptide Surf Shop is a fun environment.

Audience: Anyone that is interested in surfing.
Top Thing Learned: I learned that you start with something doesnt mean that is what you are
going to finish, I changed my logo a lot before I actually got what I wanted.

Color scheme and color names: split complementy. Teal, Orange, and Red.

Flier

Description: A flier to let college students know that there is a Graduate leadership conference
is going on soon.

Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles): I did four sketches and from those
four sketches I picked one, but once I started playing around in InDesign, I realized there was
no way I could do what I wanted to do for that one sketch. So I decided to just do a simpler one.
I started with a picture I wanted the one with everyone in it, for me it seems more inviting.

Message: With my flier and especially with my picture I wanted to the students to see and get a
feeling that this was an invent they would want to go to and with the picture make it look like a
fun inviting event to go to.
Audience: College graduate students

Top Thing Learned: How important it is to align everything and not that its important it
makes the project flow and look more professional.

Montage
Description: A spiritual montage made by blending images and the use of typography.
Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing): I went on the Internet and found a
background of a sky with clouds, and then went and found a picture of a girl praying. And with that I
wanted to use part of childrens hymns. I first opened the sky picture into Photoshop and use the levels
to brightened it up a little bit. Then opened the girl in a new documents and brightened her up and then
use the laso tool and cut her out and then dragged her onto the clouds and with the brush tool I started
to blend her into the sky but keeping her face sharp and clear. I then added my text.

Message: my message is in my text the part of a hymn I used.

Audience: everyone, we are all sons and daughters of our heavenly father and
he is always there.

Top Thing Learned: I learned that you didnt need a lot of images to make your project to turn out,
just simple and sometimes that is better then adding a lot to it.
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: I added a darkening box behind my text.

Color scheme and color names: brown and pink/ complimentary

Event AD
Description: The project was made only using Microsoft word, by scanning an
image and uploading it to word, to create a charity event.

Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills, FOCUS principles): I looked through magazines,

and found a picture of a 5k race, and scanned the image into a scanner in the library.
Then uploaded it into photo shop and made it the size and shape I wanted to make
it. Then going from there uploaded the scanned picture into a word document and
started playing around of the placement of the photo and then trying to find shapes I
could put in the background to really bring my project to life. I started with triangles,
but learned that could be taking away from the message and the whole project, so
decided to a strip of triangles at the top and the bottom. I decided to do it at the top
and bottom to show repetition. I just used the shape tool a lot and they eye color tool
to get exact colors I wanted. I came up with a stop world hunger charity.

Message: It is a charity about stopping world hunger and I wanted my picture to

really get the message across with everyone with his or her hands in the air, saying
we are all in this together and we can conquer anything. I think it really helped with
the title I picked saying Lets Get Our Charity On so right off the bat you knew it
was some type of charity and then your eyes followed with picture and you can tell it
was going to be some type of run and then hopefully by then you would want to know
more about the event and read the rest of the information on the event Ad.

Audience: Anyone and everyone that is willing to help for a good cause.

Color scheme and color names: Monochromatic, I picked a darker purple and a lighter
purple.

Top Thing Learned: I never knew word could do anything else but write essays in
it. So it was neat learning what Word could do.
