Introduction
The Nursing process is a systematic, rational method of planning and providing relevant
nursing interventions. To assess the community of Oak Glades and Palm Grove Court served by
the Oak Glades health center one has to identify the health status of the community and actual or
potential health care needs/problems to deliver specific nursing interventions and implementation
to solve problems identified. An evaluation would also be conducted to identify if the appropriate
intervention was used and to check if the various nursing interventions were effective or
ineffective. The five phases of the nursing process will be used to assess the community namely
assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating.
While carrying out the community walk and home visits a number of health problems/
issues and risks were identified. However, as a group we discussed and prioritize the health
problems and decided to conduct the research on Mosquito Infestation and Frequent Water Lockoffs.
