WEB Network Management

With the rapid development of modern network communications technology,

network communications products is becoming more integrated. In one hand, the functions of equipment are
becoming more powerful. But the other hand, it will bring a negative impact. It become very difficult to operate
the equipment and the maintenance costs also rise. So, making users to operate a complex equipment in a simple
and easy operated network management system is a nice way to reduce the complexity of the operation of
equipment indirectly. The Web network of Gaoke is just such simple network management system.
Web network management adopts the most sophisticated network protocol TCP / IP and the most popular Web
technologies, including the HTTP protocol, JavaScript technology, the communications structure is client /
server-side structure used commonly. Web NMS framework shown in Fig 1-1:

3 Prepare for management

3.1 change IP address of device
The default IP address of MG6002 (2),

MG6008, MG6016, MG6016E, MG6032, MG6002ET, MG6004ET and

MG6008ET is 138.0.60.1. Because if the equipment IP address and network management computer IP address is not in
the same network segment, the network management computer can not access to equipments. Therefore, when the
equipment is used the first time, users must change the IP address of device to adapt to the LAN, just like the network
179.0. Xx.xx need to replace to 179.0. Xx.xx.
The system offers two methods of setting IP addresses, then take MG6004E for an example. After the IP address
of the equipment has been set up could test whether the network management computer and device are connecting
normally by using ping order.

Attention
In order to change the IP address, the new IP address will effect when restore and re-start.

3.1.1.1 change IP address through the device serial ports

Login equipment through the serial port and input order <set ip> (regardless of the case) after "MG6004ET #".
The system will display the current IP address and subnet mask respectively and remind the set value of the new
entering IP address and subnet. Select "yes" when the system is confirming and then the IP address settings has finished.
As shown in Fig 3-1.

Fig.3-1 set up IP address with Super Terminal

3.1.1.2 change IP address through the Ethernet ports

First change the IP address to IP address (as 138.0.0.226) which is in the same network with default IP address
(138.0.60.1) temporarily in the TCP / IP protocol attribute settings of the network management computer, in order to
identify and link equipment.
After the new IP address is effecting, we must change the network management computer back to the IP address
which is the same with the original IP address.

If DHCP client get IP address successfully, the static IP of WAN port will be replaced by the dynamic IP
address which the DHCP client get. If user wants to log in web management system, you need to type
the dynamic IP that the DHCP client gets in IE.
b). After users start the DHCP, if the DHCP client is failed to communicate with the DHCP server, the IP
address cant be received so that the device cant be accessed through network. If that happened, users
have to forbid using the DHCP through the serial port, and configure fixed IP address and save the
configuration. You can use the new fixed IP address after reboot the device.
c). DHCP client and PPPoE client cant be enabled at the same time.

PPPoE Client
After modifying the parameter of PPPoE Clientcurrent configuration must be saved, and then reboot
the IAD.
IAD has built-in PPPoE client. It can dial into network after configuring ADSL user name, password,
server name (optional) and service name (optional) gotten from service providers. If the function of PPPoE
client is started, user cant make a call through IAD until the PPPoE client dial into network successfully.
But user still can connect the IADs Ethernet port and modify the parameter of PPPoE Client through web
management system.
IAD dials to PPPoE during initiation. It will redial until dial successfully. Authorization error wont lead
to redial. If the offline status is caused by line error, IAD will restart to dial again.
User can preview the information of PPPoE client on the page of Device info.

Attention:
a) /, *, $ and space are invalid character and can not be input.

will find the proxy by IP address first.
b) Backup Server: Optional configuration. User can set register IP or domain name or both of them like
register server. Once the register server failed to work, backup server will take over it to ensure the
calls going on normally.
c) Proxy Server: Optional configuration. It works just like a gateway. If the Proxy Server is started, all
the signaling packages will be sent to it first. Like register server, the priority of IP is higher than
domain name. IP will be processed first.

Attention
a). The priority of register server is higher than backup server. All the calls will be set up by the register
server if it works well.

of application, users need to set continuous phone numbers for several ports in series. When users choose
configuring in series and specifying the first and last port and the first and last numbers, system will distribute
continuous numbers for port. But its noticed that other parameters only take effect for the first port, the original
configuration of other ports isnt changed
b) Phone Number: When the prefix is not configured, phone number is the extension number, also is the
outside line number. When the prefix is configured, phone number is only the extension number, and the outside
line number is composed by prefix and Phone Number.
c) Calling Name: Optional, generally it is set as the phone number.

Attention
a). /, *, $ and space can not appear in calling name.
d) Registered, Authentication Name, Authentication Password: If register server or proxy server start the
function of authentication, IAD should provide authentication information to them. In this case, the option of
Registered must be set yes, and Authentication Name and Authentication Password must be filled out.
e) Port mode: Port modes are different base on the port type. FXS port has two port modes: default and
hotline. Default mode is the mode that FXS port connects with the phone. This is the largest application of the
model. If the User set the FXS port mode as hotline, the Hot-line number must be set. After the configuration take
effect, the phone which connects with the port will dial the hotline number automatically when you pick up the

but make sure the modified can be applied next time, please save the configuraion, if you have modified the
parameters.

The digit map parameters show as below.

Rule
1). Each digit map includes some dial rules.
2). Each dial rule is separated by |.
3). The symbol "x" which matches any digit ("0" to "9").
4). : one symbol between square brackets, for example [7 8 9] means one of symbol among 7, 8 and 9,
and [*] means one of symbol among and *.
5). 011x. the symbol . after x which match some arbitrary digits, so 01122, 011223, 0112234
would also have been a match.
6). The symbol T which defines the length in seconds of parameter "T" used in dial plan pattern definitions,
the default value is 10s,for example 1234T means: after dialing "1234" the phone waits T seconds and
then completes the call automatically.
According to rule above, user can construct regular expression of digit map.
For example
[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|91[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[1-8]xx

[2-9]11: 211311911 are dialled immediately.

0T: Local operator rule: After dialing "0" the phone waits T seconds and then completes the call

automatically
011xxx.T: International rule without prefix
91[2-9]xxxxxxxxx: LD rule with prefix

[1-8]xx: A regular 3 digit extension is dialed immediately

Construct the route by digit map

Digit map is a form of route configuration, so the route can be constructed by digit mapping, and the regular
expression which is [2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|91[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[1-8]xx will construct 5 routes shown as below:

5.1.10 Number routing

Numbers route tables longest length is 100, and it is mainly used when there is no gatekeeper, the capacity
can basically satisfy the user needs.
MG6008 routing supports two kinds of route: SIP (by IP) and TEL connection.
The max length of phone number is 29, and the IAD supports to intercept length and extra prefix. When the
two options are valid, IAD will intercept the calling number and add the extra prefix in front
