The Lords Day Worship Service

August 2, 2015
God Calls Us
To Worship
The Call To Worship
~ based on Isaiah 12 ~
Leader: Sing praise, for the Lord has
done great things. Let this be known in
all the earth.
Unison: Surely God is my salvation; I
will trust, and will not be afraid; for the
Lord God is my strength and my song,
and He has become my salvation.
Leader: With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.
Unison: Give thanks to the Lord, call
upon His name; make known His deeds
among the peoples, proclaim that His
Name is exalted.
Leader: Sing praises to the Lord, for He
has done great things. Let this be known
in all the earth.

We will worship You

We will worship You
O For a Thousand Tongues
O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemers praise
The glories of my God and King
The triumphs of His grace
My gracious Master and my God
Assist me to proclaim
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honours of Thy name
Jesus, the name that charms our fears
That bids our sorrows cease
Tis music in the sinners ears
Tis life and health and peace
He breaks the power of cancelled sin
He sets the prisoner free
His blood can make the foulest clean
His blood availed for me
Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb
Your loosened tongues employ
Ye blind, behold your Saviour come
And leap, ye lame, for joy

Prayer Of Adoration
Songs Of Praise & Worship
Majestic
O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is
Your name in all the earth
O Lord, our Lord
How majestic is
Your name inall the earth

God Graciously

Christ
Call To Repentance &
Renewal

chorus
The heavens declare
Your greatness
The oceans cry out to You
The mountains
They bow down before You
So I'll join with the earth
And I'll give my praise to You

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,

O Lord, who could stand? But with You
there is forgiveness, that you may be
feared.

I will worship You, I will worship You
I will worship You, I will worship You

Psalm 130 (From Depths of Woe)

~ Psalm 130:4-5 ~

Song Of Confession

From depths of woe I raise to Thee

The voice of lamentation
Lord, turn a gracious ear to me
And hear my supplication
If Thou iniquities dost mark
Our secret sins and misdeeds dark
O who shall stand before Thee?
(Who shall stand before Thee?)
O who shall stand before Thee?
(Who shall stand before Thee?)

Though great our sins and sore our woes

His grace much more aboundeth
His helping love no limit knows
Our upmost need it soundeth
Our Shepherd good and true is He
Who will at last His Israel free
From all their sin and sorrow
(All their sin and sorrow)
From all their sin and sorrow
(All their sin and sorrow)

To wash away the crimson stain

Grace, grace alone availeth
Our works, alas! Are all in vain
In much the best life faileth
No man can glory in Thy sight
All must alike confess Thy might
And live alone by mercy
(Live alone by mercy)
And live alone by mercy
(Live alone by mercy)

The Prayers Of The People

For The Church & City

The Words Of The Gospel

~ based on Romans 5:8; 8:1;
& Acts 10:43 ~
Leader: God demonstrates His own love
for us in this: while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. There is, therefore,
now no condemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus because, as all the
prophets testify about Christ, everyone
who believes in Him receives the
forgiveness of sins through His name.

Leader: Let us pray.

Bid darkness turn to day

Wipe sorrow's tears away
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside
When ends life's passing dream
When death's cold, threatening stream
Shall o'er me roll
Blest Saviour, then in love
Fear and distrust remove
O lift me safe above
A ransomed soul

Unison: Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven.

God Gives Us
His Words
Of Eternal Life

Give us this day our daily bread, and

forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Todays Scripture Lesson:

For the kingdom, the power, and the

glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

God Receives
Our Offerings

Pastor John Ferguson

God Feeds Us His

Covenant Meal

Christ Is Risen
Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
We fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to him who showed great love
And bled for us / Freely you bled, for us
chorus
Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave!
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with him again
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave!
Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bow to none but heavens will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold you down
In strength you reign
Forever let your church proclaim
(repeat chorus)
bridge
Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh Church! Come stand in the light!
The glory of God has defeated the night!
Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh Church! Come stand in the light!
Our God is not dead
He's alive! He's alive!

To all who humbly seek the mercy of

God, I say to you, that in Christ Jesus
your sins are forgiven!

We Will Glorify

Therefore my trust is in the Lord

And not in mine own merit
On Him my soul shall rest, His word
Upholds my fainting spirit
His promised mercy is my fort
My comfort and my sweet support
I wait for it with patience
(Wait for it with patience)
I wait for it with patience
(Wait for it with patience)

My Faith Looks Up to Thee

Your Love, O Lord

My faith looks up to Thee

Thou Lamb of Calvary
Saviour divine
Now hear me while I pray
Take all my guilt away
O let me from this day
Be wholly Thine

Your love, O Lord

Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness stretches to the sky
Your righteousness
Is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide

We will glorify the King of Kings

We will glorify the Lamb
We will glorify the Lord of lords
Who is the great I AM

What though I wait the live-long night

And til the dawn appeareth
My heart still trusteth in His might
It doubteth not nor feareth
Do thus, O ye of Israels seed
Ye of the Spirit born indeed
And wait til God appeareth
(Wait til God appeareth)
And wait til God appeareth
(Wait til God appeareth)

May Thy rich grace impart

Strength to my fainting heart
My zeal inspire
As Thou hast died for me
O may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be
A living fire
While life's dark maze I tread
And griefs around me spread
Be Thou my guide

Lord Jehovah reigns in majesty

We will bow before His throne
We will worship Him in righteousness
We will worship Him alone

chorus
I will lift my voice
To worship You, my King
I will find my strength
In the shadow of Your wings

He is Lord of heaven, Lord of earth

He is Lord of all who live
He is Lord above the universe
All praise to Him we give

ending
Your love, O Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness stretches to the sky

Hallelujah to the King of kings

Hallelujah to the Lamb
Hallelujah to the Lord of lords
Who is the great I AM

Our Confession Of Faith

Announcements

~ based on 1 Corinthians 15:1-6;

Matthew 16:16; Revelation 22:13;
& John 20:28 ~
Leader: Let us together profess our faith
by saying
Unison: This is the Good News which
we have received, in which we stand,
and by which we are saved, if we hold
fast:
that Christ Jesus died for our sins
according the the Scriptures, that he was
buried, that he was raised on the third
day, and that he appeared to Peter, then
to the Twelve, and then he appeared to
over five hundred witnesses at one time.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ,
the Son of the living God. He is the first
and the last, the beginning and the end;
He is our Lord and our God. Amen.
