Content Standard :
1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak
confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
Learning Standard :
1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance.
1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.
Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to :
- pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
Activities :
1. Play a song; sing a long video. Have pupils sing Down A Busy Lane with the teacher.
2. Teacher encourage the pupils to hold up the number of fingers that corresponds to the number
they are singing.
3. Display the numbers with the pictures 1-10 and point to the corresponding number as the song is sung.
4. Display animal picture. Pupils count aloud the number of animals in the pictures and will indicate
along with the song how many of that animal is on the farm. (textbook pg 44).
5. Teacher will assist pupils by having pupils place their finger on the animals as they count them.
6. Teacher will call some of the pupils to point or circle the numbers at the whiteboard.
7.Pupils will do the same in the activities book page 45.

1. Teacher reads the lyric line by line and follows by the pupils.
2. Pupils sing the song with the music.
3. Repeat the song and substitute father with other family members.
4. Teacher show word cards and pictures cards and drills the spelling of the key words
(father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother).
5. Pupils work in group of 5 (Pat, father, mother, brother & sister).
6. Pupils introduce themselves (refer textbook pg 38).
7. Other pupils take turns to become father, mother, brother and sister and introduce
themselves as well.
8. Pupils complete a worksheet with guidance.
