Experience

POAC should be suitably experienced in line with


vessel STS plan requirements.

POAC Certificate
of Competence

Copy of management level CoC should be


provided on request.

The certificate should be in date


and valid.

POAC Dangerous
Cargo
Endorsement

Copy of DCE should be provided on request.

The DCE certificate should be in


date and valid. A Tanker Safety
Course certificate is not a DCE.

POAC Oil Spill


IMO level 2 (On Scene Commander).
This course is designed for all

Hoses

Hoses should have a valid certificate of test


showing that the hoses have been tested within

Fenders

It is recommended that fenders are constructed


in line with ISO 17357. Where fenders are fitted
with safety relief valves, these should be tested in
line with manufacturers guidelines, normally
every two years.

in the future. The list does not claim to be exhaustive and additional information may be required by the vessels Flag State
Approved STS Plan.
