Information technology has helped in shaping both the business world and our
society in general. Many fields have been impacted by information technology and these
include; education, health, entertainment, communication just to mention but a few. The
impacts of information technology are profound. As the world develops, more technology
will emerge and this technology will have both positive and negative impacts. Before
giving out flyers, posting announcement, sending snail mail, making phone calls is use to
transfer information .
Website have raised the popularity as a way of collecting, organizing and
presenting content in a highly uniform, customizable and personalized way unlike the
traditional way of delivering information. Before school needs to post to the bulletin the
announcement for the student, send letter to the parents or giving memos to the
employees.
The term website is known as links page which presents information from diverse
sources in a unified way (wikipedia.org). It may contain services that provide standard
search engine feature, news, information, databases and entertainment. Website provide a
way for enterprises to provide a consistent look and feel with access control and
procedures for multiple applications and databases, which otherwise would have been
different entities altogether.
School web site can be related to any specific topic such as a social networking
tool or providing access to inside content that may help student personal regards
(wikipedia.org). Website are not limited to simply providing links. Information or content
that is placed on the web page may create a path to new knowledge and capabilities.
School website is defined as the entry point for a School that provides a centralized
source of information and services for students, faculty, suppliers, administrators and
parents (wikipedia.org).

How to develop a Website for Jesus Son of Mary Academy that
will help them promote the school.
Specific Problems

How to create a module that will help them to send announcement


faster to the student, parents, faculty members, staff and to the users
of this web site.
-Not all the students are informed and aware about the events,
sudden change of class schedule and other activities that are announced
by the faculty members or by the institution.

How to create a module that can be use in sending links or attachment


for the students/teachers about the lesson or assignments.
-There are times that classes are suspended and some activities
need to be check or done in a specific time.

How to create a module that will help the parents, students and
visitors to inquire or have concerns regarding with their children or
for the enrollment process using the web
-Going to school just to inquire is a lot inconvenient to the parents
or the enrollees.

1.2 Current State of Technology


Jesus Son of Mary Academy are still using a manual way of promoting the school
like giving brochures, sending announcement to the students, posting activities to the
bulletin board like examination date payments.
In this process information is not well transfer because some of the students are
not aware in looking to the bulletin boards. Giving forms and flyers to the parents or
people that inquiring about the school. Sending mails to the parents when their childrens
have some trouble regarding in their academics also for the future enrollees of the school.
Having school web site have a great advantage because of the fact that schools
gives an identity in the worldwide web or and could be accessible to anyone from
anywhere. Besides schools having web site can carry out their admission process easily
and thereby making it easy for the school administration authorities to save their time and
energy. Thirdly all important announcements and internal communication can be taken
care by a web portal and also the school can promote its activities and as well as provide
information of its achievements and other programs.

2.1 Introduction
Theoretical Framework is a collection of interrelated concepts, like a
theory but not necessarily so well worked-out. A theoretical framework guides
your research, determining what things you will measure, and what statistical
relationships you will look for. Theoretical frameworks are obviously critical in
deductive theory testing sorts of studies. In those kind of studies, the theoretical

This study aims to meet the requirements needed by the client and to

that can be displayed in a web browser.

According to Wikipedia Cascading style Sheets or CSS allow you
to control the layout and look of your page easily. CSS tags or properties
are easy to use and affect the look and feel or style of your web pages.

According to Wikipedia ASP is a program runs inside IIS or
Internet information Services. ASP file can contain text, HTML, XML and
scripts. Scripts in an ASP file are executed on the server.ASP dynamically
edit, change or add any content of a web page. Respond to user queries or
data submitted from HTML forms. Access any data or databases and
return the results to a browser. Customize web pages to make it more
useful for individual users. The proponents used ASP language to
complete the codes in order the system works and meet the requirements.

2.3.4 Microsoft SQL Server


According to Wikipedia SQL server is a relational database management
system developed by Microsoft. As a database, it is a software product whose
primary function is to store and retrieve data as requested by other software
application. SQL Server also includes support for structured and semi-structured
data, including digital media formats for pictures, audio, video and other
multimedia data. The proponents used SQL server to create a database to use in
the proposed website.

2.4.1 Student handbook
According to Earlham College students handbook contains items of
interest under such generic headings as general directives, social norms,
registration and academic loading, students classification, course completion,
graduation, school regulations, vision & mission and facilities. The proponents
used student handbook to gather additional information about the school.
2.5 Summary
The proponents use different Software application and scripting language
to help them build the proposed website. The proponents cite several theories
HTML, ASP, ADOBE PHOTOSHOP and SQL SERVER for the completion of the
website. The relevance of the theories and tools that the proponents used is to help
other user to easily understand how system works.

Chapter 3 Website for Jesus Son of Mary Academy with Online Inquiry
3.1 Intro
The proponents develop a website for Jesus Son of Mary Academy. The main
purpose of this site is to easily advertise their school and gain a lot of students. Parents or
enrollees can easily view information they need about the school. The user can also use
this site for inquiring online.
3.2 System Design Specification
The proponents use Context diagram, Data Flow Diagram, Hipo chart and Entity
Relationship Diagram to show what process of each structure that is been given. The
proponents use data flow diagram to show the main progress and interaction of data. The
proponents also use system flow chart shows the step by step solution to the given
problem therefore it is also help the viewer to understand the processing step of each
representation. The proponents use data dictionary to show the relationship of each other
data and it is also used to maintain the information to the system and it is relevant to the
administrator. And last the proponents used entity relationship diagram to show the

Chapter 4 Performance Analysis


4.1 Introduction
Software Testing is a way of evaluating a project developed or created. It is the
best way of knowing what outcome of the proposed project.
The purpose of testing is to analyze if the website works properly and to ensure
that the website is free from any bug or errors. The proponents conduct a survey to
experiment what will be the reaction of the users and the client of the website. the general
objective of this website is to change their manual way of advertising or giving
information to about the school to the community. The proposed system achieves the
standards that the user wants to see they meet the client requirements. With the help of
the respondents the proponents know the status of their site because of the evaluation.
4.2 Experimental
The proponents use parameter in analyzing the performance of the proposed
website by the use of survey form. The proponents gather different feedback and
suggestion from every respondent.
Ms Janneth Reyes the school registrar of Jesus Son of Mary Academy and
Nicanor Gonzalez the computer teacher rate the web site based on its performance. Some
of the students also rate the website. The survey form consists of different categories
functionality, content, aesthetics, reliability and availability of the website. Functionality
tells how the website works or functions. Is the process is easy to understand and learn.
The content of the website must have accurate and recent information about the school.
Aesthetics tells about if the website is attractive to the users. The website must be reliable
and free from errors. The users also test the security of the website and the completeness
of the site.

4.4 Summary
The proponents created a website for Jesus Son of Mary Academy to help them
advertise the school on a bigger community. To help them send information faster. The
proponents conducted a survey in order to test the efficiency of the website and to also
know if they meet the customers requirements with the help of 40 respondents. Many of
the respondents tell that the website looks good. The registrar and the computer instructor
also said that they need to have training for the maintenance of the website and to use
more effectively. The website contains reliable information about the school, the
admission requirements, events, announcement and it will be more easy for them to send
information unlike with the traditional way that they are using.

. Chapter 5 Conclusion
Due to increasing number of schools and business completion the proponents decided to
create a website for Jesus Son of Mary Academy that will help them in their marketing strategy
to help them give a easily advertise their establishment. This will help them encourage more
enrollees. Also this will help the users to know more about the school and it will also help them
inquire online without wasting their time locating or going to the school. For the future
proponents who are interested in developing or making the same project or similar project you
