BARCLAYS LAUNCHES VISA PLATINUM US DOLLAR DEBIT CARDS

12thAugust,2015, Dar es Salaam Barclays Bank Tanzania launches their


first VISA Platinum US Dollar Debit card
Speaking at the launch which took place at the banks Head Office, BarclaysRetail
Director, Mr Kumaran Pather said that the newly launched VISA Platinum US Dollar
Debit will allow Barclays Tanzania customers holding US Dollar current accounts
access to their accounts in Tanzania as well as globally, wherever there is a VISA
sign. The new card is also equipped with a Chip and Pin technology which makes the
card the most secure and safest in the market. When used locally to transact for
goods either online, through Point of Sale or even withdrawals through ATMs, the
card will operate in local currency. All transactions done in the US will carry the USD
denomination.
Benefits of the Barclays cards are as follows
Allows easy payments of purchases in Supermarkets, Hotels, Clothes shops,
fuel stations, e.t.c in Tanzania and globally.
Cash withdrawals at ATMs in the U.S.A will be in USD denomination
Gives you peace of mind when transacting online
Provides you with opportunities to receive discounts online when booking for
vacations using your Barclays debit card
