The Socialist Republic of Vietnam has received financing from the World Bank toward
the cost of the Second Ho Chi Minh City Environmental Sanitation Project (HCMCES-2)
and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

THE PROJECT ACTIVITY

Project Objectives
Activity

The consulting services ("the Services) involve construction management and daily
supervision of two of the projects major components:
1.

The construction of an 8 km long Interceptor of diameter 3200 mm, using trenchless

technology, in District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City. Construction is expected to last 36
months and cost approx. USD 80 million;

2.

The contract for the design, build and operation (DBO) of a 480,000 m3/d WWTP
at the confluence of the Saigon River and the Dong Nai River, in the Thanh My Loi
ward of District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City. Design and Construction is expected to last
64 months, while the operation and maintenance component will take up another 59
months. Total costs will be approx. USD 307 million.

The CSC services will cover only the construction period of Interceptor and WWTP.
They are expected to start in February 2016 and last for 64 months.
The Investment Management Authority (IMA) for the Second Ho Chi Minh City
Environmental Sanitation Project now invites eligible consulting firms ("Consultants) to
indicate their interest in providing the Services
Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) will be issued by the IMA from May 7, 2015
to Jun 4, 2015 during working hour 8.00 - 17.00 from Monday to Friday at the below
address. Expresssions of Interest (EOI) must be delivered in a written from to the address
below in person by Jun 4, 2015.
