Firmware Engineer
The ideal candidate will do the following as part of this team at
SanDisk:
Design and development of embedded firmware(software)
for FLASH storage management
o Media and data management strategies
o Handling of various FLASH memory behaviors and
characteristics
o Design and develop for performance
Firmware development for FLASH storage devices such as SD
cards, USB drives, SSDs etc.
Embedded development in C, RTOS, Assembly
Unit level verification of the Firmware modules developed
Development of validation strategies, test design and
validation test development
System modeling for architectural evaluations
Deep domain knowledge
Embedded development skills
Architecture and design skills
Deep debugging and failure analysis skills
Efficient/effective test and validation strategies
Very good interpersonal skills, communication and
collaboration skills

Candidate entering this position will work on:
USB/SD/uSD/CF card product design
Implementing parts of the system design
Performing analysis of various product system options in
terms of power, performance & cost
Validating the final product against design specifications by
creating
o Test plans, implementing test cases and resolving
failures along with other functional teams.

Analytical problem solving skills

Strong fundamentals in electronic circuit design &
microprocessor programming
Knowledge of ASIC/ FPGA design flows
Good hardware level debugging skills using CRO, logic
analyzer, multimeters, etc.
Good Programming skills with C/C++
Perl/Python scripting
Good communication skills
Good presentation skills
Ability to work in a team prioritizing team goals ahead of
personal goals

ASIC Verification Engineer

Responsibilities include:
Functional Simulation using industry standard EDA Tools like
Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor
Creation of Test Plans for constrained random verification
Development of Verilog/System Verilog/UVM Test benches
for Functional Verification
Qualifying the Simulation Pass/Fail Status based on System
Verilog Assertion (SVA)
Verification Closure using Coverage Metric Tools
Strong Digital Electronics Fundamentals
Exposure to Test bench & Test case creation
Proficiency in Verilog & System Verilog
Knowledge of System Verilog Assertion based verification
Exposure to Verification closure using coverage metrics
Hands on RTL & Gate Level Simulations
Exposure to Verification Methodologies (OVM/UVM)
Verification Automation using scripts like Perl,shell,tcl/tk
Experience with Cadence NCSIM, ICCR/IMC, Verdi, SVN,
AccuRev
Strong Problem Solving & Communication skill is a must.
