Assume that you are appointed to the post of Project Manager in a key commercial building
project

A. Analyse the reasons why a Project Manager needs to possess a high degree of both
interpersonal and management skills.

successfully. Discuss why the success of any project should not be judged totally based

over the world. Many construction firms are having a difficult time finding qualified

method/s of dealing with resistances to change are more likely to be successful in
following situations.
Situation 1
The employees of the organization have a lack of information on a newly proposed
performance management system and rumors have spread about the change proposed
by the management is unfair to the employees.
Situation 2
A substantial number of employees in the organization have resisted to the
implementation of a new IT infrastructure which is used to manage projects in future.
The management is of the view that this may be due to low confidence in their IT skills

The organization has a powerful trade union with a trade union leader who is capable of
influencing the members to a greater extent. The union has already announced its
opposition to a planned change to reduce redundant employees.
