PRODUCT DESCRIPTION / APPLICATION

FRiPPAK FRESH Gold is the newest generation of microencapsulate diets engineered to maximally reduce the dependence on live food in the industrial hatchery production of
penaeid shrimp. For a predictable and optimal output, it is
recommended to combine moderate quantities of Artemia
with diets #1 CAR and #2 CD during the larval stages, apply
high Artemia replacement with #3 CD during the early postlarval stages (till PL5) and apply total Artemia replacement
during the later PL stages (using the FRiPPAK PL+ ULTRA
post-larval feeds).

625 g cans. #3 CD is also available is 1.25 kg cans & 3 kg buckets.

STORAGE
Store cool and dry. Oxygen absorber included to extend shelf
life. Once opened keep refrigerated and use within 1 month.

INGREDIENTS
Marine proteins, cereal meals, algae (#1 CAR only), yeast
extracts, marine oils, phospholipids, minerals, vitamins,
antioxidants.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

PREPARATION

Suspend up to 50 g per liter of water and stir gently.

Pour the suspension through a filter screen before
distributing in the tanks. Use screens of 140 mesh (100 m)
for #1 CAR and #2 CD, and 70 mesh (250 m) for #3 CD.

NOTES
- Adapt to locally prevailing conditions (e.g. algae use,
rearing system, microbial management, temperature, etc.).
- Split the daily required amount over frequent rations to
optimize continuous feed availability in the water column.
- Spread evenly over the water surface.
- Best feeding practices are based on frequent visual
observations of the animals (gut filling, prevalence of
cannibalism) and tank conditions (water quality).

Protein:
Optimal levels of highly digestible protein from marine sources
(95% pepsin digestible). The relatively high portion of soluble
protein (40%) favors attractability and digestibility.
Lipid:
Plenty of marine HUFA-rich oils for a balanced composition of
essential fatty acids. High levels of triglycerides, phospholipids
and cholesterol, scientifically proven to be the most important
contributors to energy production, membrane building blocks
and osmotic regulation capability.
Vitamins:
A full range of vitamins and carotenoids is supplemented with
extra vitamin C and E to effectively enhance the stress and
disease resistance.

TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE
The FRiPPAK FRESH Gold diet range is part of INVE Aquacultures top performing feeding program for the larval and postlarval production of penaeid shrimp species. When optimally
balanced with live algae and Artemia, the formulations provide
the most efficient and most cost-effective hatchery production.
Improved performance
The diets are of superior nutritional strength as compared to the
original ones. Tested in a typical FRiPPAK feeding regime (65%
Artemia replacement - R65), the post-larval growth is significantly enhanced with the Gold generation of diets (measured as
individual dry weight of PL10). Adjusted feeding protocols with
an optimal balance between FRiPPAK FRESH Gold diets and live
feed allow safe and reliable Artemia reduction to only 15% of
the total feed requirements.
Optimized feeding regimes that rely primarily on FRiPPAK FRESH
Gold diets allow for a safe and reliable Artemia replacement of
as high as 85%.

Artemia substitution
The original FRiPPAK FRESH formulas substituted around 65%
of the Artemia requirements in standard feeding schedules. This
resulted in a consumption of 2.0-3.5 kg good quality cysts per
million of PL10 produced (L. vannamei).
The superior nutritional strength of the FRiPPAK FRESH Gold
diets is further demonstrated in industrial production environments: regardless of the hatcherys routine feeding protocol,
the application of the FRIPPAK FRESH Gold diets consistently
reduces Artemia consumption by 50% without compromising on
survival, development or growth.
