CourseDescription
:InEnglish1302,youwillstudythepurposes,strategies,andtechniques
ofwrittenandvisualarguments.Assuch,thiscourseisdesignedto
helpyoumoveintoadiscoursethatemphasizesinterpretingandreading
rhetorically,engagesinrigorousintellectualinquiry,andrequirespersuasive
constructionandeffectivepresentationofwrittenmaterials.Studentswillbeexpectedto
engageactivelywiththecomplexissuesraisedbycoursematerialsandtoapplycourse
conceptsindependentlytonewproblemsandcontexts
