Winged Worship
Mac
ALL power to give birth to life and over all life, and to
create form and over all form, is the love power of
Christ which is released according to the will of the
Holy Spirit you really are. All is Spirit! In Eternity the
increase of Spirit is non-spatial but in the
dimensions of Spirit represented by the Universe
about us, we are able to see the increase of the
Spirit in the expanding changing form of everything.
24
The second revelation concerns communication
through thought, and the understanding of one
another’s thoughts. As Spirit all thought is
understood because all thought is the expression of
the Spirit.

In our experience of life, a balance can be
maintained between self-serving hedonism and a
fatalistic attitude rooted in a perception of self as a
grovelling sinner totally at the mercy of God. Such a
balanced is achieved in what is called ‘present
holism’, where one is fully present to the moment, in
appreciation for what is presented to one in their
relationships, challenges and experiences. Do you
think that it is possible for the Omniscience who
sustains the universe to make a mistake in providing
us with precisely that experiential learning we need
for our spiritual development?
“Every good and perfect gift is from above and
comes down from the Father of lights, with
whom there is no variableness nor shadow of
change, it is He who begot us of his own will
with the word of truth, that we should be the first
fruits of his creatures.” - James I, 17-18
In the experience of the Now, we must endeavour
to:
• Give thanks in everything, thereby allowing
the Inner Essence to unfold within our
perception of our present experiences.
• Keep our eyes on the Light, the Essential
within the existential.
29
• Resist not evil, do not fight the apparent
darkness of our circumstances and
experiences but to turn to the inner Light.
• Unhook from the past and thereby cease the
lamentations concerning perceived wrongs
by which our emotional wounds have been
re-evoked and reinforced.
• Live the Beatitudes, the attitudes of being,
outlined in the Sermon on the Mount.

I Am One of Them
Brother Roy
31
He was one with them in their distresses. He loved
those whom all men loathed. He served the outcasts
day and night, ministered to their souls, and did
what he could for their bodies. After some years his
glorious act of sacrifice won worldwide recognition,
and a medical station was established so that
Father Damien could give at least some treatment
and ease pain a little. The kind of life Father Damien
lived would have been altogether impossible had he
not loved, and loved passionately the people he
cared for. There came a day which many regarded
as tragic – the day when Father Damien accidentally
overturned a kettle of boiling water. To his
astonishment he discovered that although his arm
was scalded it did not hurt. He told a medical
missionary what had happened, and the missionary
looked Father Damien steadily in the eyes but
remained silent. “Well?” asked the hero and saint of
Molokai. “Am I a leper?” “You are,” was the reply.
Many a man would have been stunned, but Father
Damien smiled. “Ah,” said he, “now I am not only
with them, I am one of them!” In my humble way I
understood what Father Damien meant; during the
height of my illness I actually thanked the Lord and
said, “Now I am not only with them, I am one of
them!”

God is The Healer!
Brother Andrew
I believe in the wholeness of an individual; people
are integrated beings with bodies; minds, souls and
circumstances. There is absolutely no point in
dealing with any problems in isolation. It is vital that
we get to the root cause of the problem, be it
spiritual; mental, physical of circumstantial.
I am a very ordinary person and I do not feel that I
am particularly special, or have any ‘divine healing
powers.’ Of course I have God given talents as we
all have and I have nurtured those gifts. However,
where healing is concerned I am merely acting as a
channel of God’s healing love, and nothing more. It
is out of a sense of service to God and my fellows
on Earth that I seek to assist all that come into my
midst. That might be by letter, telephone call, email,
face to face or any number of ways. I always believe
that the right people come at the right time to
receive healing.
There are many things that we can do to aid and
assist the healing process. The first thing I do is to
welcome people and make them feel comfortable
whilst in our midst. The surroundings help as well,
neutral colours, comfortable seating and tranquil
33
music all help. Refreshments are also very
important. Many people travel great distances to see
me, and what could be better than a good cup of tea
and a tasty biscuit on offer when they arrive? After a
firm handshake and cheery greeting, there tends to
be a period of general conversation, which leads on
to the purpose of the visit.
I think it is important for me to be a good listener,
and I only respond occasionally to show that I am
being attentive. I maintain eye contact throughout
the discussion because it helps me to register with
that person, or persons. When the matter has been
discussed, is the time that we can pray for the
issues that have been raised. Quiet intercession
helps people to share their needs with God. Often
whilst praying I will lay hands upon an individual so
that there is a direct, physical contact between us.
When someone is healed, what better way is there
than to share a testimony to answered prayer? A
way of saying, ‘Thank You’ to God for the blessing
of wellbeing. Not only that, the testimony will bless
others and renew their faith! We receive many
thousands of testimonies every year from Crusaders
who have been touched by God’s healing spirit. It is
as though they are re-awakened in flesh and spirit.
They are made new!
