Welcome to FrameSPEC

The following slides will provide you with an overview of Metsec Framings FrameSPEC software.
FrameSPEC has been developed over the past 15 years and we are proud to announce the release of FrameSPEC 6.0. The design tool
uses Metsecs extensive knowledge to provide economical light gauge steel walling solutions.

FrameSPEC is part of a suite of free design software, which includes the industry leading Purlin and Cladding Rail design software,
MetSPEC.

New in FrameSPEC 6

Colour coded panel designs.

FrameSPEC panels now provide colour coded designs. The design colours match the printed colours on the manufactured sections
therefore ensuring that the different gauges are easily identifiable on site.
Panel material summary.
Individual panel material summaries can be produced to aid customer take-offs, estimates and orders.

FrameSPEC Panel Data Entry

The panel geometry can be simply inputted into the software, and the specific panel location can be readily identified.
The wind load can be manually inputted if available or a full wind load analysis for the building can be calculated by clicking on
the

button.

The design defaults to studs at 600mm centres, but this can easily be altered if different stud centres are required.
The software allows different cladding types and deflections to be selected, ensuring that any implications are taken into account in the
design.

FrameSPEC Panel Results

The panel results are displayed at the right hand side of the window.

The user has the option to scroll through the section sizes to ensure the most efficient design by clicking on the

The software allows the user to produce a series of panel drawings for each design, based on the inputted design parameters.
Different gauges are colour coded so that they are easily identified both on the drawings and on site.
A complete summary of the design is provided to the right of the panel.

FrameSPEC Combined Drawings

FrameSPEC can deal with many different shapes of wall panel, including gable panels.
Large spanning cills and lintels can be broken by a central cantilever posts to ensure efficient designs.
L-Shaped windows can also be incorporated to allow the design of openings with both doors and windows.

Material List

FrameSPEC can also list the different sections and lengths required to construct the panel, to aid material take-offs and orders.
