Special Instructions for Printing

“My Special Books for Great Lent”

1. Of the 6 booklets, the first booklet is given on Cheesefare Sunday.


The remaining booklets are given out over the following 5 Sundays
during Great Lent. All booklets can be printed and assembled at one
time and kept to distribute later.

2. The first page should be printed on colored paper as listed below.


This color corresponds with the color the students are to color
Father’s vestments on Friday.

Week 1 - Purple
Week 2 – Red
Week 3 – Gold
Week 4 – Blue
Week 5 – Green
Week 6 – White

3. To make the booklet, cut each page in half. Use the bottom half of
the colored title page for the back of the booklet.

4. A Holy Week Coloring Book will be distributed on Palm Sunday.

From The Beginner’s Bible for Toddlers

One day Jesus told a story. A shepherd was


counting his sheep. “Ninety-seven…ninety-eight…ninety-nine…”
“Oh, no! Where did number one hundred go?” The shepherd
looked everywhere. Finally, he found his lost sheep and carried
him home.
Jesus said, “This story is really about God. God is a shepherd,
a people shepherd. He is sad if one of his people is lost. God
looks for the lost one. And He has special joy when a lost person
is found.
