Whats up in
Antwerp?
Crosby Public Library
We are blessed to have
Mrs. Myra LaClair as our
new Library Director.
Myra has a LMS degree
in Library Media Science
and many years
experience as a Librarian
and Library Coordinator.
She is already settling in
and has many wonderful
ideas for our library.
Welcome Myra!
CONSTRUCTION
GRANT APPROVAL
We have been notified of
approval of the
Construction Grant from
New York State
Education Department to
begin Phase 1 of 3 for
the library improvements
and expansion for
$93,802. This is a
75/25% matching grant.
Phase 1 includes
improvements to the
existing library, including
lighting and building of
the shell of the addition.
We have applied for
phase 2, which will
include mechanicals for
the extension. Phase 2
is a $100,000 grant so
we will be busy working
on fund raising to match
that grant as well, Plans
are to finish this project
up with a Phase 3 grant
which we will apply for in
2016 when we are able
to obtain matching funds.
Fundraising plans are in
action, and will be
finalized soon.-----

Your support is greatly

appreciated in any amount
you can give. We wish to
also thank our generous
"Anonymous" friend who has
been sending checks to the
library to support this project.
There are so many
wonderful ideas floating
around for ways to use the
new community room and
children's areas of the
library. There will be easy
handicapped access with a
sloped entry from Hoyt
Street into the vestibule and
2 brand new first floor
restrooms. Stop in and take
a look at the plans displayed
on the fireplace of our
beautiful library. We are
pleased to have Aubertine
and Currier Architects,
Engineers & Land
Surveyors, PLLC , NYS
WBE/DBE Certified, SBA
Woman Owned Small
Business (WOSB)to assist
us with the construction
process.

Hello Antwerp, Summer is

slowly coming to an end soon.
Hope you all enjoyed the
warmth. I had my fill going
camping with the Boy scout
troop 26 to the Gettysburg and
DC area this past week. I hope
you were able to harvest a lot
from your gardens.
As always, I am here for your
news. Call me @ 659-8213 or
email me @
laurahancock@earthlink.net

Take care and God Bless

you all.
