TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF PREFABRICATED

RURAL AGGREGATION CENTERS

1.

Prefabricated shelter made out of steel structure and PUF panels in wall of as per
enclosed drawings and technical specifications. The wall will be made up of 40mm / 60
mm thick PUF panels. Roof covering will be provided with 30 mm thick sandwich
panels of pre-painted colour coated sheets & PUF.

Dimensions : a) Rural Aggregation Center : 12.0 mt x 6.5 mt x 3.2 mt. With 2.5 mt wide Verandah.
All are indicated in the enclosed drawing.

Details of Structural Members:The roof will be laid over a framework of trusses; purlins and columns fixed using suitable
fasteners like self drilling bolt or J-hooks with bitumen washers, nuts, bolts etc.

The trusses will be made by using suitable size hollow steel tube / rolled section. The
trusses are provided at a suitable distance and shall be supported on truss columns
made using rectangular hollow steel sections, fixed with each using MS end plates &
suitable nut/bolts at top level.
The purlins will be made using suitable size hollow steel tube / rolled sections provided
on the trusses at a max. pitch of 1.8mt. or less and are fixed and flushed with the top
level of trusses with the help of MS end plates & nut/bolts.

Wall Panels :

The walls will be made out of continue line sandwich panels of 40mm thick wall panels.
The panels will be made of 0.35 mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel Pre-painted
colour coated sheets on both sides with 40mm thick layer of rigid CFC free close cell
polyurethane foam (Density 40kg +/- 2kg/cum) insulation. The wall panels will be
provided with tongue and groove joint systems. All materials required for the
manufacture of shelter will be new and shall comply with relevant Bureau of Indian
Standard Specification.

The thickness of internal wall of cold room will be 60 mm and external wall of cold room
will be made out with 2 nos. 40 mm thick wall panels means total thickness of external
wall of cold room is 80 mm. As per shown in the drawing.

The PUF insulation material in the panel will have fire retarding and self extinguishing
properties as per any International standard B2 DIN 410 2 part I/BS-4735 Self etc.

GI Metal Skin PUF Panels

(I) Thickness of Skin 0.35 mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel pre-painted colour
coated sheets on inner and outer side with 50 micron thick PVC guard film on the finished
surface only for protection against scratches during handling and transportation. Base
metal of GI skin CRCA as per IS-513. Galvanized as per GR 120, SI-277
(II) The panels will be insulated with PUF Foam (Density 40kg +/- 2kg/cum)

(III)
These panels are to be manufactured using high pressure dispensing continue
line machine of required capacity to inject specified amount of PUF chemicals into the
cavity of full panel. Without any manual locking arrangement.
(IV)
The pre-coated GI sheet should have minimum coating of 4-5 micron epoxy
primer and 25 micron polyester top coat on the finished surface and 7-8 micron primer
alkyd backer on backside, which bounded to the polyurethane foam. The Pre-coated GI
sheet should conform to IS 14246 with manufacturer test certificates conforming above
specification.

(VI)
The ISO-Cycanide and polyol liquid components used for process of
polyurethane foam for panels should be accompanied with correlating manufacture test
certificate indicating batch number, date of manufacture and expiry dates.
(VII)
The engineer-in-charge can carry out inspection of any panel from the lot at the
factory premises to ensure the above mentioned chemicals and physical properties.

The colour of panels shall be white colour as approved by Engineer.

Roof Cladding :
The insulated Roof cladding will be done with continues line sandwich type panel. The
panel will be made out with 0.35 mm thick G.I. Pre coated Profile sheets at outer side
and 0.35 mm thick G.I. Pre-coated plain sheet at inner side of PUF. Total thickness of
roof panel shall be 30 mm. These panels is laid over a frame work of purlins fixed using
suitable fasteners like self drilling bolt / J-hooks with bitumen washer etc.
The roof will have minimum projection of 300 mm from the eaves wall and 150 mm from
the gable walls. A Ridge cover of size 225x225mm made from GI Pre coated steel

Sheet/coil. It is to be fixed on top junction of the roof using suitable fasteners. The
colour of roof panels shall be Terracota at outer side and Appliance white at inner side.
6.

Openings
1. M.S. Open able type Window :
Frame will be made from pressed steel using 1.5mm thick sheet or with profile section.
The section is welded at corner with welding machine. The window frame is fixed to
panels. It will also have 6nos hinges welded on to the frame. The frame shall have grills
made from MS square bar of 10mm having equal spacing. ( Size of window : 1.0 mt x
1.2 mt)
Shutter shall be made out of steel hollow box profile of 1.25mm thick as per drawing.
Each of the windows shutter will include suitable handles, tower bolt etc for locking.
Clear glass sheet of 4mm thick shall be fixed using glass putty.
2. Door :
>> Main door & Office's door : Suitable size openable type door will be provided in each
unit as per drawing. The door frame will be made out from pressed steel by using 1.5
mm thick sheet. The section is welded at corner with welding machine. The door frame
will be fixed in panels with suitable fasteners.
The shutter will be made out with 40 mm thick PUF insulated sandwich panels. The
door shutter shall be fixed with the door frame with 100 mm long hinges. The door
shutter shall be provided with 1 No. aldrops at out side, Tower bolts of of size 150mm
at the center inside and 100mm long handles shall be provided on both the sides.
>> Cold Room's door : Suitable size open able type door will be provided in each
unit as per drawing. The door frame will be made out from Special Aluminum sections.
The door frame will be fixed in panels with suitable fasteners.
The shutter will be made out with 60 mm thick PUF insulated sandwich panels. The
door shutter shall be fixed with the door frame with 100 mm long hinges. The door
shutter shall be provided with 1 No. aldrops at out side, Tower bolts of of size 150mm
at the center inside and 100mm long handles shall be provided on both the sides.
>> Toilet's door : Suitable size open able type door will be provided in each unit as
per drawing. The door frame will be made out from Special Aluminum sections. The
door frame will be fixed in panels with suitable fasteners.
The shutter will be made out with 40 mm thick PUF insulated sandwich panels. The
door shutter shall be fixed with the door frame with 100 mm long hinges. The door
shutter shall be provided with 1 No. aldrops at out side, Tower bolts of of size 150mm
at the center inside and 100mm long handles shall be provided on both the sides.
3. Air Ventilator :
The air ventilator shall be made out from ready made Aluminum Adjustable louvers type
channels. and it will be fixed in the wall panels with suitable fastners. Suitable plain
glass shall be provided as a louvers. Size of ventilator will be Approx. 450 x 450 mm.
7. PVC False Ceiling : ( For in side the Cold room & Office room only)
The false ceiling will be made out with extruded PVC section. The section will be
250mm wide and 6mm thick. The section will be joined together by tongue and groove
method. The suspended grid work will be made out of MS hollow rectangular tube or
other suitable rolled sections. At corner of wall to ceiling are covered with PVC angle
fixed with suitable size screw etc. The PVC material will be as per IS:10151:1982. The
false ceiling will be provided inside the Cold Room and Office room only.

PUF Sheets for Cold room :

Total 60 mm thick PUF sheets ( without any Skin) will be provided for floor insulation of
Cold room, It will be kept on finish floor of cold room, after installation of prefab
building.
