Test results and discussion of commonly used granites

There are a wide Varity of granite being sold in the market, from
high end granite which is commonly expensive but last longer, to
the lower end types of granite which lasts for a couple of years
before decaying.
Some of these types are listed below:

1)Tan Brown Granite:

Tan Brown granite is blue& brown granite with chocolate granulite. Tan
brown granite is used primarily because of its durability, and look
originating in Southern part of India. Tan brown granite is mainly used
for flooring, cladding, kitchen counters and table tops. The quarries of
Tan brown Granite is located Karimnagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh,
South India. The Tan brown Granite is available in Flamed, Polished,
Honed , Brushed and Antique finishing. This Granite is very useful to
use as Kitchen Countertops, Vanity tops and Flooring. The testing for
this granite is shown in table (1).

White
Granite:

White grey background with orange colored dots and blue wavy
movement as shown in picture (2) it comprises of good almandine garnet
encrustations with total silica content greater than 65%.Mined at
Kilavalavu, area of Melur Taluk, Madurai district, approx 600 kms from

Najran Brown a very popular granite from Saudi Arabia. It uniformly blends
colors with shades of green and brown with tiny black intrusions. Possible
applications: Floors and Cladding in interiors and exteriors, ventilated walls.
