(15-20 classes)
PH30-FM1 Analyze motion in one- and two-dimensions, including uniform motion, uniformly
accelerated motion, circular motion, and projectile motion.
PH30-FM2 Analyze the effects of forces on objects undergoing uniform motion, uniformly
accelerated motion, circular motion, and projectile motion.
Unit Two: Conservation Laws (13%)
(15-20 classes)
PH30-CO1 Investigate the nature of mechanical energy and efficiency in mechanical systems,
including the law of conservation of energy.
PH30-CO2 Analyze the motion of objects and interactions between objects using momentum
concepts, including the law of conservation of momentum.
Unit Three: Modern Physics (13%)
(15-20 classes)
Modern Physics
PH30-MP1 Analyze the importance of relativistic principles and quantum mechanics in our
world.

What does the teacher expect from us?

Student Expectations
Regularly attend class with a positive attitude.
Stay on task, refrain from disrupting others, complete all assigned
work and seek math help when needed.
Notify the teacher of absences in advance when possible.
It is the students responsibility to gather and review missed
material and/or reschedule missed exams promptly upon his or
her return.
Maintain a supply of required materials and bring to each class.
Use a planner (students preferred style) to record daily assignments
and upcoming assessments.

ALL personal electronic devices must be turned off before entering the
classroom. Violation in school policy may result in the following:

First Offence: The device will be confiscated until the end of the
class.
