The lead/motivator should be a catchy, interesting sentence that grabs your audiences
attention. A quote, statistic, fact, incident, sensory, detail, bandwagon statement,
rhetorical question etc could be used here. DONT state your subject or main idea
here.
The transition is a sentence or two that links your motivator/lead to your thesis statement.
The subject is the topic of your whole essay. Your main arguments must support your
subject.
The thesis/issue statement should only be one sentence long when you write your
introduction in paragraph form. It must be the last sentence of your introduction
paragraph. It must include your subject and 3 main arguments.

Your main arguments should be taken directly from your thesis/issue statement. The
arguments will become the topic sentences for your body paragraphs.
Your details must support the argument they come under. This is the part where you
must push yourself to ELABORATE (facts, statistics, examples, incidents or
anecdotes, sensory details, quotes, and graphic aids) on your main idea.
Your closing sentence should provide an end to each body paragraph. It should be
related to the main argument. It could be a scare tactic, call to action, bandwagon
statement, rhetorical question

The first sentence of your concluding paragraph should be a reworded version of your
thesis statement from your introduction paragraph. Be creative in your rewording
The reference to lead/motivator is a sentence in which you comment on your opening
statement(s) in your introduction.
The clincher is the last sentence of the conclusion paragraph and your whole essay. It
should be a call to action, but it should not be something you brought up already in your
essay.
