During the interview with witness WW detectives leaned that witness MU let her frend use the veicl, Detectives contacted witness SWB Who agreed to cometo speak with detectives, On September 4 2015 witness Mure at Dallas Police Hesdguarers and told detectives tht she allowed suspect Crystal Cortez (H/F 02/042) to use the 1996 Jeep Cherokee, Suspect Cortez was identified and voluntarily came to Dallas Police Headquarters. She was mirandied by detectives and during er interview she admited tat she conspired with an unnamed inividal for 8500, to dive an unknown male suspect 1700 Cedar Springs Road and commit the offense of robbery aguinst Complainant Hatcher. Suspect Cortez drove the unknown male suspect to 1700 Cedar Springs Rosd. Once ther, the unknown ‘male suspect exited the vehicle, shot Complainant Hatcher and took several items of her property. The complainant died atthe scene. Detectives were able to corroborate the suspects statement through witness statements ac well as surveillance video footage from the offense location.
