FROM THE CONSISTORY
Visitors, welcome. We hope you are blessed through worshiping with us.
Our host family for today has prepared a meal to share and to visit with you
in their home. If you just wait a moment after the service in the narthex the
hosts will introduce themselves and invite you. Thank you for coming. May
God add His blessing to the Word in your life.
 Today, our morning services will be led by Dr. Jerry Bilkes and our
evening service by seminarian Tim Bergsma.

joyful occasion will be held at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 64
Buchanan Crescent, Brantford, Ontario. Directions: From Highway #403,
exit north on Wayne Gretzky Parkway, cross Lynden Road, continue on
Wayne Gretzky about 1 km and turn right (east) on Dunsdon Road, then
first right on Buchanan Crescent. Psalm 118:1: O give thanks unto the

The Family Camp committee is pleased to announce that Rev. Maurice
Roberts and Rev. Jack Schoeman have agreed to be our camp speakers
this year. Also, this year's registration forms are now in the church
mailboxes! The form is also available online at frcgrandrapids.org. Please
note the March 28 due date on your registration form! Please continue to
pray as we plan for this year's camp.

- John Mustafa is serving an internship in Nashville, TN mid February
through May. He is ministering to the Muslim and Kurdish populations
under the oversight of a local Presbyterian Pastor. Please pray for John

- The team of 12 people in Guatemala on a Mission trip to build an addition
to a foster home for teenage girls. The group includes Mark Arnoudse, Rob
Pennings, Karen VanderSloot, Laurina VanderSloot, Bas Van't Voort and 7
others. They plan to return on Friday March 12. Pray for safety as they
travel and are there, and that they may be a blessing to the people there.
The sick: Jane and I wish to thank you for your cards, prayers and love
during this time of being laid aside. We are thankful to the Lord for His care
and nearness, as well as a measure of healing we have already
experienced. Please continue to pray that the Lord would keep us close at

FREE REFORMED MISSIONS UPDATE
As mentioned in the previous bulletin update, delegates from the board
traveled to Guatemala to work out the details of the transition in preparation
for the Van Minnen’s leaving the field. We are thankful to report that, in
working with AMG, an organization affiliated with Word and Deed, a plan is
in place to continue the oversight of the various aspects of the education
project. Furthermore, Nico Kattenberg and his family have agreed to
return to Guatemala for a period of time, beginning this summer, to
oversee the various projects in Cubulco as well has handling the
administrative tasks. He will work for both AMG and FRMI. During the
past year, prayers have been lifted up asking the Lord to provide a pastor to
serve the Cubulco and aldea churches. By God’s providence, one of our
local teachers, while attending a conference connected up with a pastor
from the Presbyterian Church willing to serve the churches. Since then
Pastor Carlos Emilio Lopez has been serving the church in Cubulco on an
interim basis. During the recent visit to the field a colloquium doctum was
held with Pastor Carlos with the delegates and the obreros present. With
thanks to the Lord, the responses to the questions were very impressive.
Pastor Carlos will serve the churches there for a period of three months
after which, we trust, that he will be officially called and installed, D.V., to be
Pastor of the Cubulco and Aldea Reformed Churches. Let us continue to
pray for fruit on the labours of Pastor Carlos and that the churches there
would grow in maturity to God’s Glory.
