Fr Barry was ordained at St Josephs 21st July 1965. This was the first
Ordination that Bishop OCollins celebrated in a parish church outside St
Patricks Cathedral Ballarat. It was a significant event for our Parish. Fr
Barry will celebrate the 10.30am Mass at St Josephs next Sunday.
Following Communion there will be a short reflective Powerpoint
presentation of Fr Barrys Ordination. Refreshments will follow Mass and
during the cuppa well learn more about his journey with some pictures and
commentary. A plate would be appreciated. All welcome

Ballarat Clergy Support Fund

The Ballarat Clergy Support Fund provides for retired priests who have spent many
years in ministry and who deserve a happy peaceful retirement. The Fund is currently
supporting and caring for eighteen retired priests. Over the next few years a number
of priests currently in parish ministry will be moving into retirement and will also
need to be supported by the Fund.
This collection raised $67,000 last year. This annual collection has allowed the Fund
to continue to support our sick and retired clergy. Please help us continue caring for
those who cared for us. Special envelopes are available for this collection. You may
return your envelope next week.
