Rulebook for Night cricket

tournament
We acknowledge your excitement for the cricket tournament that is the
reason we have come with an interesting set of rules that will further excite
you all and will make the tournament worth playing.
GENERAL RULES
1) The match will be played between team of 6 players (5men +
1women). The match will be of 6 overs each side.
2) No runs will be awarded for shots played behind the stumps.
3) No Sledging and no abuses during the course of the game.
4) In case of any conflict of interest the decision of sportscom official
would be final and have to be accepted.
OUT RULES
1) For a right handed batsman, if the ball touches the wall directly or gets
into the bush directly then its OUT otherwise its 2 runs.
2) For a right hand batsman, if ball goes over the pavement on the offside
directly then its OUT otherwise its 2 runs.
3) There is no LBW out.
4) If the batsman hits the ball out of the campus in any case (even in case
of dead balls and NO balls) whether it is direct or indirect, it will be
OUT and it will attract a penalty of 10 runs from the score.
5) Apart from regular direct catches, if a fielder catches the ball with one
hand and the ball had hit the ground only once then it will be
considered as OUT. (One-bounce, One-hand)
6) Bowled out, stumping, hit-wicket, catch-out are other ways to get out.
BOWLING RULES
1) Bowlers should bowl underarm, however the girl player is allowed to
bowl overarm.
2) Each player of the team has to bowl one over each.
3) A full toss ball above knees of the batsman will be considered as NO
ball and also a single pitch ball above waist of the batsman will be
considered as a NO ball.
4) No side arm bowling action will be allowed, however a little swing is
permitted in the action.
5) Bowler has to stand at his place and bowl. No more than single step
will be allowed . If a bowler oversteps then it will be a NO ball.
6) Both WIDE (both sides) and NO balls will add 2 runs to the score of
batting side.

7) BOWLING POWERPLAY: Bowling team has to choose one out of six


overs as a bowling powerplay where the no. of runs scored by batting
side will get doubled for that particular over.

BATTING RULES
1) A batsman can score 2 runs on legside as well as offside whereas he
can score 4 runs on the straight.
2) There are no 6 runs however if a batsman plays it in the air and if the
ball touches any of the fielders and goes beyond the boundary line
without hitting the ground then it will be treated as SIX runs and
batsman will be given NOTOUT.
3) A batsman can score runs even in case of a dead ball without getting
OUT(except for hitting the ball outside)
4) No retiring of a batsman in between the play will be allowed. The
previous batsman has to get himself out in order to bring a new
batsman to bat.
5) If a batsman gets OUT during the bowling powerplay, it will attract a
penalty of 5 runs from the score i.e score will go down by 5 runs.
FIELDING RULES
1) No juggling for one bounce catches will be allowed. It must be a
clean one hand catch.
2) If a ball goes pass the boundary directly touching the fielder then it
is a SIX.
3) Catching rules for wicket-keeper is same as any other fielder.
