Field Operation Supervisor especially for Fluids and Cement in order to support operation during drilling
Duyong Deep-1 Ultra HPHT Exploration Well on time (BHST = 450 deg F, MW maximum 19.1 ppg, Depth
4,388mTVD).

With consideration of bore-hole design/configuration, maintained Fluids properties to control ECD while
drilling due to narrow margin between Formation Pressure and MW applied to achieve section depth as
proposed, also maintain down hole High-Temp Properties to avoid sagging effect, Monitor Loss/Gain due to
Temperature effect of Fluids and tight monitoring volume refer to Finger Print data (mean with 1 bbl SBM
gain equivalent with 600 up to 900 bbl times gas kick on surface), Performed and Applied Cementing Job
using MPD due to Narrow Formation Fracture Margin related with pumping cement rate strategy and surge
effect during RIH Casing / Liner throught small clearance.

The offshore fluids supervisor will work closely with the Petronas Carigali Drilling Supervisors and Petronas
Carigali shore based Superintendent and Fluids Engineers.
The fluids supervisor will be responsible to understand the Fluids programme provided by the service
company and agreed by Petronas. Identify potential problems and recommend operational solutions to
maintain and/or improve the quality of service companies which covers all background engineering required
for the generic program, covering areas of experience:

Responsible for work and guidance of the service company personnel to verify hydraulics modeling.
Ensure compliance to all QA/QC procedures as requested, including fluids materials and liquid sample,
cementing, performance management and waste management programs.
Undertake drilling fluids field testing to API 13 B1 and B2 to verify service company measurements and
calculations
Account for fluids volume taking into account pressure-volume-temperature relationships
Promote Petronas and safety programme and Zeto Rules and actively follow up on action plans and Review
and make sure well site recaps are done in a prompt, timely manner.
Attends morning meetings on the rig, review all daily reports, make recommendations as required and
ensure adherence to the program, trouble shoot problems at the well site.

Be responsible for Inventory management including forecasting, orders of sack, drum and bulk materials.
Collect data and observations required for adjustment of the final cementing programme
Validate by measurement and calculation the volume and density of all cement slurry and cement spacer
volumes pumped during the cementing process.
Validate all rig site slurry measurements (e.g. rheology, density, API Fluid loss) stated in the cementing
programme
Confirm post cementing job actual cement and additives concentrations correlate with programmed
concentrations
Ensure material batch/lot numbers of additive used in the cementing job recorded on the job ticket/report
Validate fluids measurements and characteristics during mud conditioning circulations prior to casing running
and cementing operations
Review post job pressure behavior and density records for comparison with predicted values
Supervision of mud engineers, cementers, solids control & waste management engineers and the hydraulics
specialist at the well site and maintenance of standards of work.
Responsibility for follow up actions on all services fluids related, including waste management and
cementing. He is accountable for demanding closing actions from service company requirements at the well
site.
Responsible for the training of rig crew and mud engineers on the concept of standard temperature for
surface mud weight measurement for the HPHT section and to ensure the concept is correctly applied.
Any changes in the implementation of the mud program have to be reported to the senior fluids engineer
onshore for appropriate action.
Participation in rig site audits, investigations, data gathering and procedural witness testing

Directs the work of the contractors fluids & cement engineers on board the assigned rig(s)/ barge(s)
ensuring that the operations are conducted as programmed & in line with good engineering practices.
Ensures that all operations are conducted safely & efficiently (Follows up day to day drilling operations and
ensures that mud & cement operations are conducted safely and as programmed, Follows up fluids &
cement costs and strives to optimize them)
Prepares & supervises the cementing jobs (Troubleshoot the operations and recommends corrective

Organizes the supply of mud & cement products/ equipment in a timely manner.
Adjusts Solid Control Equipment to efficiently remove drilled solids (Monitors the performance of the solid

Evaluations have to integrate various geological / geophysical data in regional, play with fairway mapping, seismic
interpretation, and log interpretation. Depend on availability data and attractiveness, leads are further matured into
prospect by determining potential hydrocarbon reserves/resources, also assessing appropriate key risk elements.
