OUR SOLAR SYSTEM
Earth is the third planet in a system of planets, moons, comets and rocks that orbits The

Sun. The sun is just one of around 200 billion stars in our galaxy, The Milky Way and The
Milky Way is just one of the hundreds of billions of galaxies in the universe.
The Solar System contains eight planets and several dwarf planets, including Pluto the
rocky planets are: Mercury, Venus , Earth and Mars. The gas planets, also known as the
giant planets are. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Mercury is the smallest planet
and is also the closest to the Sun, Venus is also known as the morning and the evening
star. Neptune is the farthest planet from the Sun.
Of all the planets only Mercury and Venus dont have moons Mars has 2, Jupiter 13,
Saturn 34, Uranus 27,Neptune 26, Saturn is famous for its beautiful colored rings. Mars is
known as the red planet and has the highest mountain in the Solar System.
