Since 1960 MITA S.r.l. has been designing and offering solutions to dissipate the excess heat from any process. Thanks to the long experience
and the wide range of available products it is possible to find the optimal
cooling system for any plant.
MITA range is composed of open circuit and closed circuit cooling
systems characterized by:
Low installed power;
Naturally non-corroding materials;
Wide and easy access to the internal components to simplify
and speed up the routine maintenance;
Pre-assembled modules designed to facilitate the final stages of
the installation, making them fast and economical.
In order to suggest the best cooling system, both from the technical and
from the economical point of view, it is necessary to carefully evaluate
the cooling parameters, the specific plant factors and the environmental
requirements.
MITA is able to propose all closed circuit cooling systems, classified
according to the main cooling principles: cooling by water, cooling by air
and cooling by a combination of water and air.
Closed circuit systems, evaporative cooling:
MCC range (MCE for evaporative condensers)
The refrigerant to be condensed or the process fluid to be cooled flows
inside the coils and it is not in direct contact with the environment.
The cooling is called evaporative (wet) when the air flow cools the
coils by evaporation of a part of the water sprayed on them.
Closed circuit systems, hybrid cooling:
HBR range
The process fluid to be cooled flows inside the coils and it is not in direct
contact with the environment.
The cooling is called evaporative (wet) when the air flow cools the
coils by evaporation of a part of the water sprayed on them.
The cooling is called dry when only air is used to cool the coils.
Closed circuit systems, adiabatic cooling:
PAD Series
The refrigerant to be condensed or the process fluid to be cooled flows inside
the coils and it is not in direct contact with the environment.
The cooling is called dry when only adiabatically pre-cooled air is used to
cool the coils.
These systems are often used in case of small / medium cooling capacities, mainly with those users that require
a closed circuit system for their cooling.
That means that the water (or a mix of water and glycol, when the ambient temperature is very low) circulates
in a closed circuit.
The cooling water remains totally pure because the closed system prevents its contact with the external environment.
The choice of the suitable cooler must be evaluated on the basis of thermodynamic characteristics of the mentioned cooling systems, of the specifications of the plant and of the users demands.
Necessary parameters in order to find the most suitable solution:
Design data
Installation town, climatic characteristics
Period of operation, variable thermal load
Availability or lack of water
Focus on savings related to water consumption (evaporation, treatment, anti-freezing systems,
pump)
Focus on electric power savings.
Peculiarity of each system:
MCC
Process fluid temperature close to the wet bulb temperature
HBR
Optimization of consumptions in the space of a year
PAD
Higher performances in comparison to a normal dry cooler.
