CGE13203 Information Technology: Application and Impact

Project

Places to Visit in HK

Intended Learning Outcomes

After completing this project, students should be able to:

Work productively using appropriate applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation
and multimedia tools;

Search information from the Internet and electronic resources efficiently and evaluate information for
decision making and problem solving;

Communicate and present information effectively in digital formats in a collaborative and virtual
environment; and

Use information technologies in a socially responsible manner.

Description

The Hong Kong Tourism Board hosts the Discover Hong Kong (http://www.discoverhongkong.com/)
website recommending famous attractions to tourists.
The website briefly contains information about the attractions, events and cultures of our city.
However, for local citizens or returning tourists, these places are not attractive enough.

In this project, your group will explore and introduce new places to visit for local citizens and

tourists.

Your selected places should be different from the places introduced in the Discover Hong Kong.

Instead of introducing every place in Hong Kong in general, you should decide a creative and

applicable THEME for your recommendations.

For example, Delicious Food in Hong Kong, In-depth Tour in Kowloon West, Excellent Places for Pet
Lovers,etc.

Your group should provide in-depth introduction for every featured place.

On top of the recommendations, you should also introduce creative ideas on the usage of

information technology to enhance tourists experience.
