Fosroc-Nukote JF80

constructive solutions

100% solids polyurea based joint sealant

Description

Packaging

Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 is a two component, 100% solids, no

VOCs; self- leveling joint sealant that exhibits superior
performance in a variety of harsh industrial applications. It
is similar to Fosroc-Nukote JF 75 only with a higher shore
hardness for applications that require higher performance
levels.

Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 can be shipped in either 1.5 liter

cartridges or 38 liter sets.
Installation
Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 adheres well to sound, properly
prepared concrete substrates. All surfaces should be free
of dirt, dust, loose particles, grease, oil, moisture, and old
sealant. Always stir, shake or agitate the resin side prior to
application. Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 is formulated to be
installed using low pressure, plural component pump
systems, or plural component cartridges.

The product also displays fast cure times and excellent

adhesion to concrete. Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 is a polyurea
that can be applied at temperatures ranging from -7C to
66C. Fosroc-Nukote F F80 has been specifically
formulated for interior applications where limited down
times are required.

New concrete control joints

The product is also well suited for smoothing control joints

or random cracks to accept polyurea, polyurethane and
epoxy topcoats.

Allow concrete to cure for a minimum of 90 days prior to

installing Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 in control joints. To
properly prepare the joint, insert a diamond blade (of the
appropriate width) into the existing saw cut joint in order to
chase out all loose concrete debris and to abrade the joint
fascia. Cut or re-grind the joint to a minimum depth of
25mm. The joint should be widened slightly to assure
proper adhesion to the new concrete. The freshly ground
joint walls should contain not voids, loose particles or
moisture. Clean with vacuum or by air blast, to remove all
debris from joint, prior to installing Fosroc-Nukote JF 80.

Features
100% Solids with zero VOCs
Easily applied by cartridge or pump
Excellent durability
Little moisture sensitivity
Cures from 7C to 66C
Excellent adhesion to concrete
Excellent thermal stability
High elongation (575%)
Can be coated with FOSROC-NUKOTE polyurea or
other coatings

requirements

Backer rod can be placed into the bottom of the joint prior
to installing Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 on industrial floors with
mild to moderate forklift traffic. In major distribution
centers with heavy or continuous forklift traffic, full depth
installation of the product is recommended.
Old concrete control joints

Uses

Remove all existing joint sealant. Using a diamond blade

saw or right angle grinder cut and/or abrade the joint
vertically to a 90 angle and to a minimum depth of 25mm.
Spalled edges should be vertically ground as well. The
freshly ground joint walls should contain no voids, loose
particles or moisture. Vacuum or air-blast the debris from
the crack.

Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 has been formulated for ambient

temperature, interior or exterior industrial concrete control
joint use. The tough, but flexible nature of the material
allows Fosroc-Nukote JF 80 to withstand the rigorous of
industrial applications including the abuse of industrial
equipment, steel-wheeled carts, forklifts and steel metal
trash dumpsters.

Random fractures

Typical applications include:

Using a diamond blade saw or right angle grinder, chase

or grind the joint vertically (to a 90 angle) to a minimum
depth of 25mm. Spalled edges should be vertically ground
as well. The freshly ground joint walls should contain no
voids, loose particles, or moisture. Vacuum or air-blast the
debris from the crack.

Chemical Resistance

When utilizing a plural component pump, the mixing wand

tip should be placed in the joint. Fill the joint in one
directional and continual pass. Overfill the joint by 2mm.
Let material cure for a minimum of 30 minutes and sliceoff
level with the concrete slab using a large mastic scraper.
