Course
Description
This
course
provides
students
with
an
overview
of
various
clinical
and
administrative
information
systems
and
critical
functions
used
in
healthcare.
Key
topics
include
electronic
health
records,
computerized
provider
order
entry,
decision
support,
e-
prescribing,
telemedicine/telehealth,
and
revenue
cycle.
Students
explore
the
history,
adoption
and
use
of
various
types
of
health
care
information
systems
and
gain
insight
