AREAS OF CONCERNS FOR GUIDANCE

Career
In this area, counselors help students understand their strengths and
talents, and how these abilities can be utilized in various college majors and
careers. School counselors facilitate school-wide activities and guidance lessons
needed by the students. They help students in the college admission process,
and all next steps.
This area is a comprehensive, developmental area designed to assist
individuals in making and implementing informed educational and occupational
choices. It develops an individual's competencies in self-knowledge, educational
and occupational exploration, and career planning.
I experienced making a Call Slip which is related in this area in where
the students is being monitored using this process. Counselors made a Call Slip
to those students who reported by their professors for having absences that is
beyond the limit and for failure to meet their requirements. This is the way of the
counselors to know the problems of those students that may cause of these
occurences. It was a very challenging task for me, making a Call Slip because
there is a chance that I may interrupt the professor of the student, especially
during the discussion of the professor or they might have a quiz. It is a very
difficult but very cahllenging task for me.

Attending and helping to facilitate seminars for the students is one of the
things that I experienced during the training.

Areas of Concerns for Guidance (CASE). Part I and II of the narrative report
should be 10 pages, more or less.

Weekly accomplishment reports should not have the GRADE for every
week, only the signature of your counselor.
DTR should contain the signature of your counselor as proof of
verification. Also, pls write the total hours of duty, compute your hours in DTR.
Evaluation form SHOULD BE ORIGINAL, NOT PHOTOCOPIED. Answer
the Page 2 of Evaluation form. Cut them into short bond paper size (8.5x11).
Delete Certificate of Completion if not present. Make your own certificate,
have it signed by your counselor. Kung tinatamad, wag nanggawin. ^_^
Lastly, submission of Narrative report will be on TUESDAY, Oct 28. Put it
in a RED folder with CLEAR front or RED Plastic Folder.
