APSEA 52, APSEA 72

Outdoor cable termination that can be

installed at any angle. The terminations
are not self supporting. Designed to
meet the requirements of internationally
accepted standards.

The different types of cable terminations are APSEA 521-527

for 52 kV and APSEA 721-727 for 72.5 kV.
1. Top bolt
Top bolt made from aluminium or tin-plated copper with a
mechanical bolt, press or weld connector. A cable lug can
also be used.
2. Creepage current electrode
Made from stainless steel and collects surface creepage
current.
3. Top cap
A sealing made of EPDM rubber with active pressure to
prevent water penetration.
4. Weather sheds
The weather sheds are made from EPDM rubber as modules
which create flexibility in length to adjust to different degrees
of pollution.

5. Stress relief cone

The stress relief cone is made from EPDM rubber and designed for geometric field control.
6. Creepage current collector
Made from stainless steel and collects surface creepage
current.

Storage
When stored in original, unopened packaging at temperaturesin the range of -30C to 30C:
The stress relief cone has a shelf life of ten years from date
of manufacture.
Tapes and grease have a shelf life of five years.
Metal hardwares have no shelf life limit.
