RADWIN 5000 JET SCB

A CUTTING-EDGE NLOS SMALL
CELL BACKHAUL (SCB) SOLUTION
RADWIN 5000 JET SCB is the most advanced small cell non-line-of-sight
(NLOS) backhaul solution in the market addressing challenging street-level
backhaul scenarios.
Delivering high capacity and carrier class performance, RADWIN 5000 JET
SCB operates in dense urban environments where there are obstructions
to line-of-sight (NLOS), high radio interference and severe dynamic
multipath conditions. The durable, robust units operate in harsh outdoor
environments.
Available in licensed and license-free sub-6 GHz bands (3.X GHz, 5.X GHz),
RADWIN 5000 JET SCB sub-6 GHz solution is being deployed by leading tier-1
mobile carriers in the world as a necessary component of their emerging
small cell networks. RADWINs small cell backhaul solution includes a
complete set of advanced planning tools and engineering best practices that
expedite and simplify small cell deployments.

RADWIN 5000 Jet SCB Innovative Technologies

Optimized air interface ensuring highest throughput - 500 Mbps per single channel and 1 Gbps in dual
channel mode, low latency and jitter in NLOS conditions
Single hardware for point-to-multipoint and point-to-point architectures
High modulation and 3x3 MIMO
Smart beamforming MIMO antenna technology for enhanced performance (e.g: advanced multipath
aggregation, interference mitigation by spatial ltering and antenna auto-alignment)
Dynamic bandwidth allocation enabling remote radios in the PtMP system to instantly peak to full sector
capacity when bandwidth is not used or required by other remote radios
Dual carrier/band capabilities

ADDRESSING SMALL CELL BACKHAUL DEPLOYMENT CHALLENGES

In urban environments small cells are typically deployed on street furniture such as lamp posts, street signs,
building walls and other street-level objects. Backhaul at the street level poses signicant challenges for
mobile carriers. Traditional microwave backhaul solutions require line-of-sight conditions for transmission
and ber connectivity is not always readily available or is cost prohibitive. Wireless backhaul needs to
address non line-of-sight and dynamic multipath conditions.
RADWIN has extensive experience of over 10 years in NLOS deployments and RADWIN 5000 JET SCB
is especially designed for NLOS backhaul of small cells in dense urban environments. The solution
incorporates a smart beamforming MIMO antenna, advanced technologies and a proprietary air interface.
Extremely easy to deploy, RADWIN 5000 JET SCB can be installed within minutes by a single person without
the need for specic technical microwave skills.

RADWIN 5000 JET SCB PLANNING & DEPLOYMENT TOOLS

RADWIN 5000 JET SCB provides powerful planning and deployment tools that reduce small cell network
rollout times, lower costs and eliminate site acquisition risks. RADWINs tools include a Site Survey Kit that
accurately and quickly predicts the performance of RADWIN 5000 JET SCB in real-world conditions.
With RADWINs tools, mobile carriers can:
Accurately predict backhaul performance at the street-level in NLOS conditions
Provide comprehensive plan for the small cell backhaul deployment
Detect and overcome challenges to backhaul transmission (e.g. line-of-sight obstacles, collocation
interference)
Simplify small cell backhaul installations and reduce associated costs
Speed up small cell network rollouts
Benet from lowest total cost of ownership
