Commercial business group engage sa lahat ng revenues and supply
chain ng company. Our products are mainly services- merchandising,
sales agents. Not really pure product.
We are TEMSI (Triple Excellence Marketing Services Inc.). We have been
in the business for 20 years. The core businesses are retail
merchandising and brand activation. Brand activation includes
promoters in supermarkets. We also have event marketing yung
hospital retailing and retail selling. Retail selling in convenience stores,
drug stores and department stores. Yan yung major services. We have
nationwide capability. We have 6 satellite warehouses in VisMin and
head office in Manila.
Our mission is to build business with our clients and to ensure
stakeholders have a fair share. Other services include design and
fabrication of modules for the events, merchandising materials,
corporate giveaways, and CRM systems using telemarketing, (text
blasts). Backed up by in-house services with our talent search for the
pool of merchandisers, promoters, ambassadors, hosts, mascots. We
also have in-house learning, the TEMSI Academy. We teach our people
basic, elite and advance ________. TEMSI Cargo is the ingress and
egress as well as logistics requirements. Lastly, sysTEMSInfo wherein
Ian (insert last name) heads. This includes report analytics.
The vision is to be the leader in merchandising and promotions
services, information systems and other brand channel marketing
services. The mission of our business by providing our clients with
quality merchandising and promotions _____ management.
The
systems we developed for our clients are customized. Providing
distinctive edge for the brand in a timely, quality and cost efficient
way. We also have event technology through WiFi. We also have VOS
systems and _____ facilities.
The current principals are all multinational companies. ColgatePalmolive in the 20 years, Merck is a pharma company, Del Monte and
Dole for activations, Pepsi Cola, Beo_____, Kimberly. Right now, we are
also working with other clients we are increasing our portfolio.

As a marketing and merchandising company, do you have a


guiding philosophy that determines the overall culture of the
company?
The Vision and Mission statement. We also have our values,
Teamwork, Excellence, Malasakit, Success and Integrity.
What is your companys business process in terms of your
suppliers?
We use the SAP System. First, we give them their requirements.
Then they give us the proposal. Then we give them our PO for them to
_____.
How about for the internal (office works)?
For the office, naka system based din siya. Number 1, we have
our Strategic Plan for us to know the forecast for the following year in
terms of cost and revenue. Then, we have the systems and procedures
for them to follow. For the cost side, alam nila na ito yung operational
cost na dapat nilang gawin.
Follow up question: How do you measure the cost? Its measured
based on the projected revenue. We only maintain a certain cost so
that it will be profitable maintaining the margins that we wanted- for
the company.
How about for clients?
We have a database of all corporate accounts. We have a
telemarketing program wherein we contact, email, call them. Once we
get on the meeting with the client, we do the presentation of the
company. We then negotiate/ discuss the requirements and costs. From
there, bidding process na. Whoever wins, thats the time we do
manning, corporate giveaways, merchandising materials; it depends
on what service they would prefer.
What is your organization structure that supports the business
process?
We have 4 major segments. The 2 segments, legal and HR are
contracted services but for the company, we have 2 operational
groups. One is long-term (under Greg, Strategic Operations Manager),
and the other one is short- term (under Erwin, Strategic Operations
Director). We have a commercial team composed of marketing &
sales, MIS and HR. We forecast the programs that need to be
developed in order to acquire businesses. Under operations, we have
IT and HR. Same set up as commercial. But, operations have an
account officer, IT, HR Ops.

What are the various data resources of the company that help
in the companys work/ business process?
This is the MIS System. Were focusing on INFRA meaning yung
internet, hardwares for the company. Yung software, we have HRIS,
sysTEMSInfo and CRM. The heart and soul of the company is human
resources so yung HRIS is also the heart of the system. Sa HRIS,
nandun yung mga information (201 files, etc.), FIS, nandun yung mga
payroll system. The output of the FIS will go to the Accounting systems.
Inter-related silang lahat pero pwedeng iba-iba yung suppliers. Under
the ______, we have the sysTEMSInfo. Ito na yung reporting systemsanalytics. From database to reports to analytics. We also have TEMSI
App, customized tablet na hawak ng clients naming sa field plus the
technology like the WiFi.
Follow up question: What is SQN? Sa database siya. Yung sa
databases, 3 siya. Number 1, pooling. Kailangan ng candidates (talent
search). Number 2, current employees. Number 3, reports.
Sa INFRA Management Infrastructure Information System, WiFi,
LAN Networks, trucklines can also be wireless, CCTV are part of the
INFRA.
Who are your suppliers and what do they supply?
For the people, our suppliers are government agencies, schools.
For merchandising materials, we have partnerships with at least 2
suppliers who does modules.
Who do you think are TEMSIs top competitors?
We know our landscape. Right now, we are number 8. We can
tell who are competitors are but TEMSI has its own agenda and vision
we dont rely on our competitors. We have our own direction; not
relying on the direction of the competitors. For example, we want to
be first in technology but in the industry, there is no technology.
Currently, what are the information systems resources which
the company is using at present?
HRIS > FIS (payroll) > Accounting System (F/S)
Output of HRIS goes to the FIS for payroll etc. Then output of FIS
goes to Accounting system for the financial statements.

CRM System= ________
Systems are all working but it is still in the infancy stage.
Follow up question: Are there problems in the system you have
encountered? Yung systems maraming siyang ______ especially when
it is not customized by Ian. If the system is a package we bought,
syempre we have to follow it. Also, marami silang requirements na
tedious. Most of the systems are cloud based.

How long have you been using this information system? When
was it developed? When did you last update it?
______ months. Depende sa company yung mga creation of new
versions. For the updating, everyday naman.
For the systems na
medjo malaki like the accounting system, every 6 months siya
inuupdate.
What is your business- level strategy (strategy as a
merchandiser)?
We have our own agenda, vision. We have our 2020 strategic
plan that we follow. We know our competitor landscape. We want to at
least in the top 3. We want to be first in technology.
How do you control costs of the company?
The costs are part of the budget we do a year ago. We have a
control measure, procedures on the budget expenditure. Most of the
time, there are levels of approval before you can get a budget that is
not part of the normal operations.
What are the strategies of ________ department?
Commercial Business teams strategy is to ensure balance
between demand and supply. Under this is HR, marketing & sales,
MRIS??
Ensuring marketing of the company digital ads,
telemarketing, brochures.
Finances strategy is to ensure an efficient and effective payroll
system and cost management
Operations strategy is satisfying the clients needs in the field.
What is your corporate- level strategy (as TEMSI, a company)?
Vision-mission. 2020 clear vision. Strat plan. Internal procedures
developed.
