BO/eniq is an Ericsson software that extracts info from the MSC for KPI readings

OK. Must be a different product, the MSC. I deal with Aastra/Ericsson MD110 and MXONE, where the mentioned traffic recording commands work.
Please inform me a bit on the MSC...

I checked out MSC.
And found this:

The command that is in that document is for monitoring cell traffic.
I work for a network service provider in Kenya. We have only 2 MSCs (2G) that work in
tandem through load sharing. We have been asked to generate a KPI that monitors
traffic through the MSCs. Our MSCs have numerous routes interconnecting them thus
making it extremely tedious to monitor traffic per route.
What would you recommend?

What do you want to measure? CO lines, Groups, Extension etc. There are different
commands to initiate the measurements.

Traffic recording on a Route (CO line).

TRROI:ROU=XXX,TIMEI=HH-MM,TIMEE=HH-MM,DATE=YYYY-MM-DD&&YYYY-MM-DD;
TIMEI is the star ttime and TIMEE is the end time.
HH hours.
TT minutes.
YYYY - year (2013)
MM month
DD date.
----Traffic recording on a hunt group.
TRPBI:GRP=XXX,TIMEI=HH-MM,TIMEE=HH-MM,DATE=YYYY-MM-DD&&YYYY-MM-DD;
----Printout:
TRDIP:
Check the MENO number. The TRDIP gives the list over traffic recordings.
TRREP:MENO=X,PERIOD=2,DATE=YYYY-MM-DD&&YYYY-MM-DD;
----Operator:
TROPI:CORG=XX,TIMEI=HH-MM,TIMEE=HH-MM,DATE=YYYY-MM-DD&&YYYY-MM-DD;
Operator Manned time:
TROMI:CORG (or DIR)=XX,TIMEI=HH-MM,TIMEE=HH-MM,DATE=YYYY-MM-DD&&YYYY-MMDD;

Operator measurement are "heavy" to understand, but very detailed and OK to get
knowledge about.

Traffic recordings are initaited the day before the measurements should begin and they
can run for many years.
e.g.
TRPBI:GRP=4711,TIMEI=08-00,TIMEE=17-30,DATE=2013-05-04&&2023-12-31;

Would you happen to know of an alternative through the BO? This time by extracting the
traffic usage on the network.

doktor (IS/IT--Management)5 Apr 13 04:19

Please explain again? BO??

HI,
I have done some research on how to extract traffic flow from the MSC. A three set
command is able to extract traffic data from the MSC over a certain time period.
TRDMI:MP=77[,IO=OWN&FILE][,R2&R1];
The command prepares for recording, that is, reserves
measuring programs, specifies output format/device and
type of recording.
TRTSI:MP=77,NRP=2&3,RPL=15&20,DATE=010217,NDAYS=3,NWEEKS=2,TIME=1200&1
400;
This command defines the time schedules of a MP.
