Performance
Extensive fatigue testing has been completed and incorporated into third party fatigue modeling such as Cerberus and Flexor,
as well as proprietary service company models.

Fatigue testing results for 2.000 outer diameter (O.D.) QT-1300: The average number of
fatigue cycles to failure is plotted against wall thickness and internal pressure.

Head-to-head fatigue testing of QT-1300 vs QT-1000. Note that QT-1300 has a higher average
fatigue life than QT-1000 at all pressures.

Product Details

Minimum Yield Strength: 130,000 psi (896 MPa)

Minimum Tensile Strength: 135,000 psi (931 MPa)
Maximum Hardness: 39 HRC

Chemistry
QT-1300 is made of high strength low alloy (HSLA)
steel similar in composition to other QT grades with
increased amounts of solid solution elements and of
micro-alloy strengthening elements.

Compatibility
To ensure functionality, QT-1300 has been tested for
compatibility with typical coiled tubing equipment
such as injectors, connectors for downhole tools, and
blow out preventers (BOP shear and slip testing).

Success
QT-1300 has been successfully utilized by development partners both onshore and offshore in high pressure, high
temperature (HPHT) wells and for extended reach applications - offshore, in the Gulf of Mexico and North Sea, and
onshore, in the Bakken, Marcellus and US shales.

The longest string of QT-1300 manufactured to date is over 35,000 continuous feet in length.
In the North Sea, we partnered with a customer to provide a coiled tubing solution to deploy, activate and
retrieve perforating guns after firing them downhole.

Previous Practice:
Additional 1,500 feet of wellbore is drilled in preparation
for the perforating sequence. Guns are lowered via
tubing and fired. Previous grades of tubing were
not strong enough to pull the guns out so they were
released.

The Solution:
QT-1300 provides the additional axial load capacity to
retrieve the guns after firing, eliminating the need for
additional wellbore, saving time and expenses.
