darkness, from which he can never come out? Thus to those
without faith their own deeds seem pleasing.

An emphasis on the empirical in the domain of the sense
perception and reliance on observation, in accord with the
injunctions of the above verses, although the words
(Hadith) of God are always true, for the explicit use of
its acme creation, whether in Universe/ Earth or Divine
Revelation with Nafs Mutminah/Ulul
Albab/Muttaqi/Momin deriving knowledge from
Ilham/kashf/Wahy/Hadith Allah or Ayaah in nature .
But still challenging to prove otherwise, by creating a
similar verse.

In the way to this discovery or in the journey of seeking
the Ultimate Truth, the seeker finds isolation, unable to
share the moments of this discovery, with the friends
and family, as everyone is given to their own lives and
shortcomings, depending on the psychological makeup of
the seeker and the friends around. It is at this moment
the ability to guide from one step to another, from one
duration to the next, is taken over by the Divine light or
Khayal/Intuition. And the seeker tries to live through
conscious/unconscious effort, as the exegeses of the
Quran, emulating the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into
the Pit).

Without a teacher or a guide I had to face daunting
challenges, but with the Creator being so merciful, I
come again and again and again back to the Quran. One
day as I was relating above that in some moments one
feels to give up as I have written the whole system is set
up which makes salvation very difficult specially to
escape the hell fire . I had a dream, or a message as
follows.
Those who follow the above verses will escape hell fire
and following the above verses means Surat-eMustaqeem.
I have written that in my article on the importance, of
the above verses, as being Surat-e-Mustaqeem in one its
mode.
Recently I wrote to my former boss , and he kindly sent
me his signed photograph, which I have included, with
some other pictures.
The only motive being to make this article more as
struggle of human being in search of Reality.

is that Nature is the only truth in the world and God has
created the Universe with the purpose of giving things
that exist in it to man as reward for his struggle arid
efforts which he makes to know and conquer them..
Is there any of the foremost Scientists and Knowers of
Nature from the world's most enlightened and dominant
nation who, after becoming aware of this standard, would
not bow before the Quran and deny its being the
greatest and the last Book?. 25
Here God calls all those who observe, ponder, and reflect
in the creation of the heavens and earth, mountains and
vegetation as his Servants in the act of remembering
Him. After the insight they receive from His revelations
in Nature.

A cyclical movement, a perpetual cycle of Purpose in life,
all creation in the Divine book of nature helping humans
develop into an advanced civilization, with Allahs
sustenance engraving continual life cycles, of birth and

astrophysics of the sky, the geology of the mountains,
the botany and zoology of its flora and fauna.

Our space programme was established as far back as !
961. The launching of Rehbar sounding rocket series
commenced on 7 June 1962. I have been associated with
SUPARCO from the very start and have seen all echelons
of the department rising to the position of its Executive
Director on 1st January 1976, and then as Chief
Executive on 15 December 1980 and later in 1981 taking
over as the first Chairman of newly elevated Pakistan
Space and Upper Atmosphere Commission (SUPARCO).
In the long final standing of about 9 years as its
Chairman, a large number of important projects were
implemented. Noteworthy among these are: The
establishment of Lahore Campus of Space Applications
Center (SPARC) next to Punjab University (in fact the
land is owned by the University), Establishment of the
Islamabad Campus at Rawat (Islamabad) where the
Ground Receiving Station for reception of Satellite
Remotely Sensed Imagery was established and ground
work for the Aerospace Institute done. Today, it is a
sprawling campus of Institute of Space Technology.
Another milestone was the construction of SUPARCO's
own Secretariat building at the University Road Karachi

names constitutes the reflection and the associative power of such a group as

As it goes, I think, therefore I am! Human being is
distinguished among other physical being on account of
his ability to think, reflect and then response back in the
form of thoughts. He assimilates concrete world and can
produce ideas that are abstract. Abstract thinking is a

Iqbals approach to the Quran is thoroughly experientialfirmly grounded in his life-long practice of reciting the
Quran and pondering upon its meanings. In this living
relationship, Iqbal posed questions to the Quran and
received answers that not only challenged him but also
shaped and directed the yearnings of his soul. In
traditional Islamic terms, Iqbals approach to the Quran
was based on personal realization and insight (tahqiq) as
opposed to conformity to authoritative teachings or
interpretations (taqlid).

That is why God says, He wraps the night around the daytime and wraps the
daytime around the night, from the wrapping" of the turban. Each of the two hidden by
the manifestation of the other. Thus God said, He makes the night cover the day and in
the same way He makes the daytime cover the night. He who performs the salat is
whispering with his Lord" at this moment through the signifiers of God given by the
world of the barzakhs, in the self-disclosures, their constant variations, and the
transmutation within forms, as has reached us in the sound reports.
However, the barzakh reality of the sunset salat is the servant's emergence from the world
of the witnessed to the world of the absent. He passes by means of this oddnumbered barzakh, and thereby he gains awareness of the mysteries of the acceptance of
the witnessed world by the absent world. This corresponds to sensation when it gives a
form to imagination.
My 0 cents, as its quite hard to understand Ibn Arabi, here is a guess.
A Specific kind of knowledge by which Ibn Arabi means, a knowledge delivered through
meditation in the magrib/isha prayers from the start of the evening
glow (barzkah between daylight and dark ) to the rise of morning glow Or could be
tahajud prayers only including Fajr.(barzakh again between a dark night and the early
morning).
When the heart is opened up to the proofs of God, by the world of absent ( do not know
what Ibn Arabi means by it, guess the world of the unseen/night time) sometimes by
opening up the pages of Quran, while in prayers, a veil gets lifted. Usually the ayah
opening up there meanings in a crystal clear comprehension, not understood, previously,
only in moments of a nightly vigil. This nearness to God, when a person gets guidance to
THE NEEDS of the moment, I guess means an indication to the direction which he
should travel or move towards in general. Example trying to build a scientific institute or
an Observatory, also containing books and audio visuals giving very clear
message/instructions on the role for Quran and Sunnah. So if we read Ibn Arabi in its
totality means the Isha prayers too, as he mentions it can be read up to midnight. (not
familiar with Shariah/Juriprudence/Fiqh). The meanings of the unseen world having put
on a sensory form.
It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and
the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is
forbidden to be passed.
The viscosity, density and temperatures including the concentration of unsalted or sweet
water containing some nutrients, mixing with the salted of the ocean producing the effect,
producing an interface.

Not forbidden to be passed, I think means a continuous process of brackish region
remaining for the next millions of years until the water cycle comes to end in a
cataclysmic activity/event or a gradual geological change stretched in a certain localized
regions over millions of years. Since there could be a passage of some contents of sea
water and river or sweet water mixing. One can always be critical of the ayah but in its
broadest perspective, someone living in a desert could not have spoken such words.
Here the use of the word Barzagh corresponds to "separation" proved by empirical
science.
While again in the ayah 23:100 the word Barzagh is used meaning a separation after
death, a spiritual event.
"In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is
but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up.
Or as translated by Mohammad Asad,
"As for those who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves,
until when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! let me return [to
life], so I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]. Nay, it is indeed but
a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] is a barrier of
[death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead!
Here again the word Barzagh is used, a separation, humans or their souls will be
requesting/asking to be sent back in order to correct what they did before. It is known by
the Sufia as an interface, where those with the highest spiritual attainment, can cross over
by the Will of the Creator coming back and forth. An Ulul Albaab can see/relate the
meanings of Barzakh, both in the domain of physics and metaphysics.
Understood by Imran khan when he writes:
"Reading the biography of the twelfth-century Andalusian mystic Muhammad Ibn Arabi
helped me understand Mian Bashir's gift better. Ibn Arabi referred to those ' that see with
two eyes ' . He believed that after a process of spiritual discipline somebody could reach a

book. but these beautiful lines from the mystic poet Rumi reflect what he calls the inner

will understand about the journey of the soul towards God.

I had started a class on mysticism 101, here 101 means a very
elementary stage last month, by undertaking to study psychology
and its role in the experience of the self, making a critical
judgment first on a human claiming an inner experience, followed by
a comparative study of mysticism, and later extending it to a study
of comparative religions , having done so with introducing Ibn Arabi,
and his thoughts, with a commentary on nightly vigil, by quoting from
a book called "The Self-Disclosure of God", by Dr William C Chiitick
who is a scholar on Islam, at Sunny University, New York, on Asian
and Asian American studies.
With the intention of asking him to explain his book, and any
questions raised by this forum. The Self-Disclosure of God, from
which I had quoted, a difficult subject when narrated by the
masters, had sent him an email to help us over in the understanding,
of the fundamentals of Sufism, as given to in the Self-Disclosure of
God. His reply is attached, as choosing the subject from the mid
point, in Dr Chittick assessment I have jumped further/ahead, and
should start at the basics.
Kindly read the attached emails for those interested. I had in
previous conversations with Dr Chittick, mentioned my interest in
science or signs pointing to the study of nature in Quran. He guided
me to first open the inner eye, before undertaking this
path/direction. Also explained by Dr Iqbal in his Reconstruction, on
the Chapter "Is Religion possible".
Seeing a lukewarm reception on the forum, as not interested
equating with discomfort will discontinue and promise not to raise
this subject for another six months starting today.
While discussing on this forum stumbled on Allama Mohammad Iqbal
r.a on his claiming a "Wahy" in revealing the secrets of the self or
the secrets of science, however we construe it, I was quite
perplexed having believed on the miracle of the book in verses,
which are crystal clear as daylight, cannot be spoken by someone
living 14 centuries ago, even more when they are understood in the
light of an inner experience /or every day experience,while science
refuting some powers of God, namely verses on genetics.
I understand this poem of Iqbal he wrote under the name of his son
called "Javed Nama" could be criticized on this forum but attest to
the power of Inspiration or transcendental knowledge, and the very
Warm Wishes to all. If all goes well will start this topic after six
months.

This research is rediscovering the wheel, must have been miles
ahead in institutes like Islamic University Faisel mosque, Allama
Iqbal open university, Ghamdi institute in Lahore, National Defense

Wahabism in its excesses, though King Saud befriended Dr

graves. When someone says Sajada Tazeemi before a saint not
bending all the way one who has passed away , and Sajada before
God prostrating in like namaz are two different, has to be
researched as not committing shirk . Bowing Wahadat ul Wajud as
explained by Dr Israr on Youtube is self explanatory, Not
everything is He, but His is everything, mysteriously plunged, as His
control on every atom, in our bodies, is reflected, by the Hologram
in the Cosmos, each particle mysteriously connected with the other,
even on the edge of the universe in seconds defying the speed of
light, effects Non Local in quantum physics as contrasted with local
in the Newtonian classical physics.

Cosmos, Science of the Soul " on the importance of
transcendental knowledge.

using the word Rahab, as used in the above verses.

Sustainer, the Lord of the Seen and Unseen, the Wise
and the Mighty, the First and the Last, the Rehman and
the Rahim.

Two kinds of verses in the Quran. A) Have clear meanings. B) Having hidden
meanings or not yet understood because knowledge has not advanced to that

He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or
fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book:
others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the
part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden
meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who
are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of
it is from our Lord:" and none will grasp the Message except Ulul Albab
(men and women of understanding).

the right meaning of the words.
Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are
the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with
understanding.
For Quran warns those who invent false Hadith, or words in the following
verse.
But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge
(or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on
the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.

different books. Religions have diversified sects, each interpreting the
Divine books differently. Inayat ullah khan in the dialogue and conversation
that he had with Hitler only could introduce the message of the Quran, in
Tazkirah, which the later read with interest, but who in turn saw
Nietzschean superman as the embodiment of all life.
The late 18th century and the early 19th out of the necessity of the changing
dynamics in the Lands of Islam, produced men of understanding, with a few
women, including the, orientals the likes of which the previous generations
of Muslims had not seen. Including Jamal ud din Afgani, Syed Ahmed khan,
Maulana Mohamrnad Ilyas Khandalvi , Syed Sulaiman Nadvi, Mohammad
Iqbal, Inayat ullah Mashriqi ,Syed Abu Ala Maududi, Syed Qutb etc.
No knowledge; for
Every act of hearing,
Or of seeing,
Or of (feeling in) the heart
Will be enquired into
(On the day of Reckoning).
Knowledge is to be gained by using; the senses acquired
by humans through natural selection or more aptly
directed evolution. Anything not verifiable by these
faculties or the modern day instruments an extension of
these senses, in the realm of the unseen, does not
constitute Knowledge. With the exception of God, his
angels, the knowledge of Nafs Arabic for soul, Ruh and
what He hides from His creation. Recent progress in the
techniques of ultra-sound is extending our knowledge
which once seemed to be in the realm of unseen a few
decades ago. [Be Iznillah by the Will of Allah(swt)].
Here Allah Subhana-Hu does not say that any one else
cannot have this knowledge.

Turning (to Allah).
Whom enlightened, both in the knowledge acquired in
nature and in the remembrance of Allah in Nafs and
Ruh (Arabic for soul) along with His personal guidance,
and through wisdom of revelation attained through the
Quran achieves the unity, which remains elusive
otherwise, for where would those servants go, if He
were to stop the rotation of the earth, strike it with an
asteroid, (today 14the June 2012 LZ1 missed our earth,
discovered a few days ago, the size of a city block,
sparring us God knows for how long, while we on earth
were preparing to build more nuclear bombs to annihilate
each other, dont we need a collective effort to build an
asteroid deflection shield. Little do we understand Him?.
For here is when God mentions us to look into His
kingdom around, and see how close the earth is to being
annihilated by a rock from the sky or cave in underneath.

cannot be divided, as applicable on Zaat, Jaisa tha waisa

when we use serial time and Divine time together. People
say if the time is related with the movement of matter,
if matter stops moving the meaning of time will diminish.
Serial time is used to record change. If time is for
Makhlooq no one will become Dahriah(atheist/free

injustice, suffering but will never die, until reaching its

Khayal is the imamat of words, if khayal is at the right

(outside). Our Qal is outside and Hal is inside at the
most. Where Khiraat is born, Qalandar are born before,
what we think in our wisdom, is known to the Qalandaar
they are there before on our wisdom can reach it, both
in range and expansion our intellect and wisdom can
reach.
It is one to one, the khoj (discovery) of the inner being,
once the news is received only then the other books are
opened. Otherwise those books remain closed, even after
opening. One to one means talib and matloob. Mureed aur
Murad.

what we lack, the mismatching.Never satisfied even
after performing the deeds.

also be asked in this context is , did you in this vast world
where from besides Milton and Archimedes to Abu Ali
Sina, Rumi and Razi pondered on at their levels, did you
also try to discover yourself, who are you ?, where did
you come from?, what is your purpose?, if we see a graph
paper, and the four axis go into infinity. When we draw
anything on the graph we need a reference point, drawing
anything without a reference point will be meaningless,
unless a person considers himself as the reference point
and starts to find and make himself the reference point
and then the meaning of these questions of why, and
how start to unravel . The question is what is the Wajah
e Taqhleeq Kainaat? You will not get an answer to your
question from outside, like if you are working in a bank, I
as an outsider will ask what are these people doing from
morning to evening, keep on counting repeatedly like some
mad adventure. But those working in the bank a part of
the bank, know it is a very serious issue , like those
working in the World Bank, a little error in calculations
will cause great problems, a small discrepancy in counting
will be hazardous for the bank. So even to find the
Maqsad (purpose) you have to become a part of this
Nizam, those people who ponder on how the Creator
created this vast Nizam stretching into billion of years,
working effortlessly, reflecting how a child is born,
then one has to become a part of the Nizam e Qudrat of
the Khaliq consciously not academically but ilmi and
Verily, in the heavens and the earth are signs for the
believers.
I have a question when we sit in a Mehfil or read the
Quran, we have wudu we go out of the masjid and see
the signs of the Lord everywhere, in the heavens and
the earth, in the noble book should not we have wudu.

book after doing the wudu, and when we read the Quran
in Afaaq (Universe) and the verses in it, should we study
them with having a wudu.

Question: If there was no Shaitan would humans not

instructions by Prophet; they were not given guidance by

since wadad ul wajood is a scene for those who are
outside self interest, beyond gain and loss. Those in self
interest cannot say gold and metal have the same value.
Those who are in search of stone find gold throwing it
away, saying I needed stone and gold came in, let me
throw away the gold. Those who refuse to accept pride of
performance are endowed with Nishan e haider. The usual
line is of gathering the medals of success in their necks,
in the life of gain and loss if one gets gain but loses the
one for whom the gain was meant is ultimately a loser. If
one gets zian loss and one finds the Mehboob beloved,
then it is not a zian loss but sood gain. The concept of
gain and loss cannot be understood without reference to
a zaat, until then kamayabi success is a sign of being
superior to nakamyabi loss. These are quotes deserved to
be written down, why to succeed, why to do business of
interest, of gain.
Question: Without Zaat there is no success, is that
true?

Fikar is khamoosh silent zikar, Afzal zikar is Lailah allah,
now Afzal ul fikar is also Lailaha illah, so those who got

Illala, meaning La matloob illala, meaning Lamajood illala,
after zikar they got involved in fikar reflecting and
finding its meaning, Fikar is marifaat as stated in Kashful
Majoob by data hazur, marifaat is a journey from word to
its meanings. When we said a word, doing zikar then we
started in the journey of finding its meaning in marfaat .
For the sahib e irfan, the word is not simply a word they
protect and guard their word, by their actions.

Answer: On taqdeer and tadbir we can read many poems,
and read about jabri and qadri, the reality is yaqin and

called as love, but if tashqeeq is not akthiairi and is
jabri , then the whole show ends, then why would we
blame a kafir, the whole shariat, reward and punishment ,
amaal and mizaan , jannat and dozakh, all things come in
tashqeeq. All things if delivered to taqdeer, then on the
doraha of tashqeeq and tadbir lies the strength and
human weakness to chose.

mohed, being tauheed parasaat, when things move to
friends. I do not know how I remembered this column of
Kishawar Naheed, that is the murshid who is going to
friends and telling everyone. The one who is kissing the
stairs is doing shirk, I just went out of love, doubting
others love.
Question: The mushaida of Riyaz sahib what do we
learn?
Answer: All these sahib e nisahanat e manzil are all
milestones, ask a traveler of the importance of the
milestone, going to Islamabad when we see we are 40
some charge 500 rupees, for a watch and able use all of
them. So it is buying one watch and selling oneself.
Question: We pray kalama tauheed, la ilaha illAala,
and then mohammad au rasul Allah why is it so?
Answer: First it is Mohammad au rasul, for if we do not
climb it we will not take the first step. The meaning of
LaillAllah is all the faculties, any hindrance should be said
no to, until the soul knows itself, it will not know where to
go, and being resistant to authority, when the nafs
understand itself does not remain ghair. Ghairat remain
till Law amah.
Question: As it is said namaz is a difficult path for
all except those who know they will meet and return
to Allah?
Answer: Until a person comes to ones path and goal one
does not understand. For nafs mutminnah is a whole
chapter. Yahyu la nafs mutminah, meaning in easy terms,
ghatkah program, tere mere aik marzi, Your and my
desire are the same, will not change after that, while
lawamah acts like a monkey going back and forth, to and
fro is of lawamah, the difficult thing is everything is
practical, have to do it.
Question: Then how do he view the shaar? When he is
in nafs e mutminah?
Answer: Now he becomes part of khair being nafs e
mutminah, sees like the little brother as being ignorant,
viewing like a bigger brother with wisdom, seeing a
younger brother, khairr aur sharr the basic difference
being khairr knows its end, the train is coming while the
sharr does not, whether farz aur wajab, not for sawab
blessing but as duty to protect from disaster, knowing
the end, not saying lets leave it. When we are tuning our
car or changing the tyres, we do not think it is farz aur
wajab, the car has to be in the best condition.
Question: Is Astagafar Hal in nafs e mutminah or in lafs
e lawamah, or just nafs e mutminah? The contact Allah
with a banda human or of banda human with Allah is
through astaghar due to weaknesses. Astafaghar
Answer: Can you please clarify why you have used it in
HAL, the word Hal is related with Maqam, so I thought
why have you used it.
Question? I have used Hal as a kafiyaat, when a human
know the weaknesses, a malamat on nafs e lawamah, is

not in nafs e mutminah, if it is not in nafs e lawamah, the
Prophet pubh used to say astagafar 70 times in a day.
Are you saying it to be kafiyaat. Then what is the
question otherwise will be bookish.
Question: If it is a kafiyaat as a concept then what are
its implications? Is it valid in lawamah or mutminah,
while asking for forgiveness..
Answer: Astagafar is in lawamah, in mutiminah its Meen
alhamad da wired kumia menu bholia astagafar a thing
for the ummah, so in mutiminah inbasat the kafiyaat
,state of bast expansion this statement will be valid
