In order to help poorer countries deal with global warming, wealthy countries set a goal in 2010:
Raise $100bn a year in public and private finance for poorer countries by 2020
Last month at the official kick-off of COP21 in Paris, Francois Hollande warned that meeting the set goal could fail
without serious commitment on climate finance
The French Government recently asked OECD of a status of how the target goal is met so far
The new figures show:

Satellite networks imply large economic benefits when connecting people in low to medium density population areas

Two years ago, Facebook announced Internet.org, an effort to accelerate the rate of connectivity by addressing the
physical, economic and social barriers that are keeping people from getting online
The satellite is expected to be launched in 2016

ALSTOM TO SUPPLY SWEDEN WITH NEW TRAFFIC

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Alstom and Trafikverket, the Swedish transport administration, has signed a contract worth 660 000 on implementing a
new traffic management system, Iconis.
Iconis control and information system integrates information, monitoring, control and optimization throughout the rail
network
The traffic management system will be used throughout the whole country and aims to improve punctuality and capacity
utilization of the rail network
The contract, which expires in eight years, also includes the development and maintenance of the system
Alstom also acquired Motala train, an additional act on its ambitions to grow in the Nordic market

FRENCH COMPANIES FACING 3D-PRINTING REVOLUTION

CCI Paris Ile-de-France recently alerted the French government to quickly structure a real sector of 3D manufacturing in
France
Michelin recently joined forces with Five, engineering company, in order to focus on 3D printing of metallic pieces
Within equipment of 3D machines per country, the United States are in the forefront and France ranked as number 7
According to Xerfi, growth in the global market for 3D printing is expected to be around 20% per year until 2020.

Some examples of where France could benefit

from advancements in 3D printing is:
Industrial equipment, such as machine tools
Luxury industry, as for example jewelry
Design, as for example frames for glasses
