The successful candidate will act as a driving force to support existing and future research
activities related to corrosion modeling and prediction in refining and petrochemical operations.
The successful candidate should be able to develop medium- to long-term research projects in
corrosion modeling and corrosion prediction as related to damage mechanisms, reliability
enhancement, and materials behaviors in refining and petrochemical operations.

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:


1.Have strong experience in corrosion modeling and electrochemical corrosion methods.
2.Has been published in international journals in subjects related to corrosion modeling and
predications (damage mechanisms, reliability enhancement, and materials behaviors)
3.Worked in multidisciplinary environments, where the candidate will be involved in different
research projects and interact with experimental researchers and field personnel to develop
corrosion and materials research projects.

R&DC is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Design Engineer with more than 10-15
years of industry and/or research experience with specialized knowledge in fundamental
thermal and fluid sciences, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, combustion, and physical
chemistry. The experience should include both analytical and experimental applications with
an ability to apply this knowledge to combustion systems for power generation including
boilers, gas turbines, burner designs, cogeneration and combined cycle systems, after
treatment systems, fuel handling and, emission control systems. Advanced knowledge and
experience in continuous fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, chemical looping combustion,
flameless combustion systems, oxy-combustion, and next generation low-carbon footprint
power generation technologies is highly preferred.
The candidate's main role initially will be to establish a state-of-the-art multipurpose
combustion test platform to test different combustion technologies and flue gas treatment
systems to help test the latest technologies within Saudi Aramco. Eventually, the role is
expected to develop into conducting a cutting-edge energy research program with wellarticulated business plan and managing the delivery of the program through planning,
coordinating, and consulting with the stakeholders in the R&DC and various business lines
within the company. The candidate will have responsibility for building business cases for
